Mark 911 Posted 12June, 2017 Report Share Posted 12June, 2017 Took the family out for a drive to Wallan Victoria today . There is a very nice bakery there and a big playground for the little one. I'm so glad I finally found a baby seat fits in my 996 c4s. She loves it in the back. Andy73, Philbee, ANF and 3 others 1

LeeM Posted 9July, 2017 Report Share Posted 9July, 2017 Out for a short leisurely blat in the hills with Stew and Andrew after fitting my dodgy painted 17in Speedline replicas. Old tyres past their use by date in cold n wet conditions make it......interesting! Fun is an understatement Great to see Andrew finally in an air cooled, and Stews decat exhaust sounds awesome too. Good to catch up lads. I'd post some pics, but haven't sortwd a new photo host since Photochucket is enjoying being alienated by millions! LeeM Posted 9July, 2017 Report Share Posted 9July, 2017 Haha! fair enough. AW played the good wingman keeping the bf distracted. Top bloke!Haha, that he is ? At my age, you don't get many opportunities to take a young attractive female Porsche nut for a drive too often. Especially at full lock in second hard on the gas and she's laughing! Her phone was full of Porsche photos too

Airhead Posted 9July, 2017 Author Report Share Posted 9July, 2017 Did 170ks in the 3.2 early this morning. Cold and damp but an OK drive. Coffee & croissant at Killara Winery at 9.30am then the long way home. TrevMcRev, Nick S and LeeM
Nick S Posted 9July, 2017 Report Share Posted 9July, 2017 Cold, rainy, and rainbow-ey down the Great Ocean Road this morning. Always enjoyable though, no matter what the conditions. Stew F Posted 9July, 2017 Report Share Posted 9July, 2017 @Nick S that top picture is a beauty. Did the tourists in the hire cars politely pull over to let you pass? The last 2 times I drove it they were a right PITA.I saw the end of a rainbow this morning. It was within my reach, but sadly, no pot of gold. Nick S Posted 9July, 2017 Report Share Posted 9July, 2017 @Stew F, you're not wrong, the tourist and hire cars certainly make the Great Ocean Road difficult to enjoy. I always head off from Geelong around 7am, this puts me ahead of all the traffic to Apollo Bay. On the way back I usually take the inland twisties.I never found out if there was gold at the end of the rainbow in the photo. I chased it from Lorne to Apollo Bay, but I couldn't catch the bastard! ruby82sc
ruby82sc Posted 9July, 2017 Report Share Posted 9July, 2017 Does it ever not rain there Nick? our visit was in one of the wettest Aprils on record.......Did you get the pics I took of your car leaving Lorne? Nick S
Nick S Posted 9July, 2017 Report Share Posted 9July, 2017 Hi @ruby82sc, yes I did get those pics, thanks for that.Believe it or not, we do have some nice weather down here, just not too much of it lately!Oh well, the Great Ocean Road always seems to be quieter when it's a less than beautiful day, so not all is lost. tazzieman Posted 10July, 2017 Report Share Posted 10July, 2017 Took the 911sc (now on special rego) on the daily commute. What was interesting was that I resolved to get the oil "hot enough to boil off any impurities" on the way home. Given the temp in Hobart today , that took some doing - and a slight deviation LeeM, Nick S, ANF and 1 other

grantmr Posted 15July, 2017 Report Share Posted 15July, 2017 Drove from Albury to Pt. Macquarie today - 900+ kms. Car didn't miss a beat and the road just unfurled beneath it. Got around 10L/100km too which is the best I've seen, usually around an 8/100.Next stop Brisbane! Niko and LeeM
