My 924 Turbo

Another exciting project begins with my 924. The car is in pieces and ready for a tow truck trip to the spray painter tomorrow. Over the next month it will be brought back to the original two tone Inari Silver & Onyx Green Metallic colour scheme that it was delivered with back in 1981. This along with new rubbers and other parts will make it look like new again. Hopefully I will get some progress pictures that I can share.

Awesome... love seeing these cars being restored, especially the ones I've sold

This one has a pin stripe that gives it a bit of a lift, to me anyway.  Would have been better if the pin stripe wasn’t missing from behind the left front wheel arch, but gives you an idea.

Agree Brian, re the Pinstripe....just a nice touch and does break it up.

The is how the car will hopefully look once back from the painter...

Not another two tone green Turbo?! :) - The Porsche 924 Owners Club

Here is another one I found. Thoughts on the darker wheels as opposed to the original in the above picture?

Hate to be cleaning those things, but I think stick with the originals for me...

Thanks @OZ930 for sharing this one.

I am not sure whether I will include the pin stripe or not. It is still available to buy via werk924 in Germany so can always add it in.

Thanks for the feedback on the wheels everyone.

Well, paint is on and it is looking fanbloodytastic!! She is back to her original colours as delivered from 1981. Still some work to be done and putting it all back together with new seals, stickers etc.  Hopefully I will get it all back before Christmas. I can´t wait to see her in person.

Looking nice and shiny!! More polishing and various stickers to be added to the bodywork over the next few days so it should be ready next week to bring back for reassembly with new seals and trim work. I have ordered the pin stripe mentioned in a previous post from Werk924 in Germany which will sit just above where the darker colour and lighter colour meet to give it the full retro look. Yesterday I popped in to take a look at the progress and have to say it looks fantastic with this colour combo. The slippery slope continues once this is done as I will get the wheels refurbished to match the new fancy paintwork!
