The car is in pieces and ready for a tow truck trip to the spray painter tomorrow. Over the next month it will be brought back to the original two tone Inari Silver & Onyx Green Metallic colour scheme that it was delivered with back in 1981. This along with new rubbers and other parts will make it look like new again. Hopefully I will get some progress pictures that I can share. Would have been better if the pin stripe wasn’t missing from behind the left front wheel arch, but gives you an idea. Still some work to be done and putting it all back together with new seals, stickers etc. Hopefully I will get it all back before Christmas. More polishing and various stickers to be added to the bodywork over the next few days so it should be ready next week to bring back for reassembly with new seals and trim work. I have ordered the pin stripe mentioned in a previous post from Werk924 in Germany which will sit just above where the darker colour and lighter colour meet to give it the full retro look. Yesterday I popped in to take a look at the progress and have to say it looks fantastic with this colour combo.
