michel Posted 14September, 2014 Report Share Posted 14September, 2014 Seems to have been on and off the market for a while, I know it has been previously discussed on typ 901 before. Nice looking car, dig the colour. Been centre stage here before a great car, with a bonafide and diligent owner. Bit like the orange 912/6... they've got a whiff of not been pucka (maybe other?) ...though i reckon the market has almost caught up with listed $ hugh

Dreamr Posted 14September, 2014 Report Share Posted 14September, 2014 There are a few 996 TT's and even GT3's around atm for not much more than that, and I know which one I'd prefer ..... so I think you're spot on ..... seems a little high to me (not that I know an awful lot about the 996 market)

Cheshire Cat Posted 15September, 2014 Report Share Posted 15September, 2014 Hey guys, I dunno where exactly to post this, but... Looking for some nice 911 SC Coupe with 3.0-3.2 engine up to 30000$. Should be my first Porsche so I`m trying to find something not super rare or perfectly restored but ready to drive car. And that`s what I`ve found: http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/robertson/cars-vans-utes/porsche-911-sc-34000/1056389827 A bit more than I looking for, but... and this: http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Porsche-911-1979/SSE-AD-1148831/?Cr=2&sdmvc=1 From Queensland to Victoria - so, need road worthy... And engine upgrade and ICE (like 5 grand)... What do you guys think? p.s. I`m sorry, if this is really wrong thread.

And engine upgrade and ICE (like 5 grand)... What do you guys think? p.s. I`m sorry, if this is really wrong thread. The blue SC is very nice, I had a look at it few times and had a drive. Very clean and straight body, good interior and nice sounding engine. If the Carrera 3.2 from Perth did not work out, I was going to do a PPI and make an offer on the blue SC. Good luck with the search, I found a 1986 911 Carrera 3.2 US import RHD converted in Perth close to your price range. The car needs few things done to make it right, but is a great driver with a good motor, gearbox and running gear and no rust. And as AC79 pointed out, have a budget to get things sorted out, regardless what you get. Over the next few months I will get things done (mostly cosmetic; carpets, rubbers, paint, etc), but will enjoy driving it as the work gets done. tazzieman Posted 16September, 2014 Report Share Posted 16September, 2014 http://www.free-online-calculator-use.com/car-depreciation-calculator.html It's kinda fun to plug some figures into the above http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Porsche-Panamera-2011/AGC-AD-15922487/?Cr=11&sdmvc=1 Bargain price cf. new , if you can live with it's appearance and the ongoing plummeting value (most people have neighbours)

When Panameras are $40k for a 100km example, then I'll start looking. The first guy paid 160k in deprecation. The next guy will pay 80k. The guy after that is the one to be - even if you pay $20k in deprecation (which you will...) and you pick a good example, you'll have a much nicer life. Coastr Posted 16September, 2014 Report Share Posted 16September, 2014 $280k when sold new and now $130k for a 2011 model. Now that's huge depreciation. Well, it's like buying a 993 Turbo, driving it for not-quite-three years, then tearing up your insurance and pushing it off a bridge. Like I said, a sport of Kings. If you think that is bad, you should see the hit taken on big Benz coupes.
