Desparing british/german car cross dresser requires value for money Porsche .. however cannot be CAB as it will mess with my Hair ;)

Now the delusion of champagne and porsche price bubbles maybe going a bit flat.

425-350 -- or maybe should it be 300

Flat champers dont taste good no matter what the brand

that much? I thought it was the very early aus delivered cars were fetching those sorts of dollars...

CTS have one for sale at $180k. Aussi delivered are now at least that

When you think a black LHD 912 for sale in the UK has an asking price of £89k (roughly $190kAU) anything is possible!

that's one of the biggest reasons for the price rises here - falling OZ dollar, yet dealers are using UK pricing to value cars here

Bit hard to keep up...if an 89 Cab with 100,000k is worth $115,000, what is a coupe worth now?  Good luck to the sellers if they are getting this sort of money, and it may flush a few more coupes out as people look to cash in on the price rises.  Trouble is, it would be hard to get back into an IB car again, so as long as you can live with that, it makes the decision easier.

Look at the sale this weekend of the 911T for $180k at Autoclassica. I know that one was an earlier model, yet owners of later cars are probably thinking theirs is a bargain.

...and just to think i could have purchased a very clean Aust delivered 911T in viper green from CTS in Jan of this year for $105k. this type of price increase makes the syd housing market seem like a low return investment.

Funny you should say that. We currently have our home on the market which we've owned for 5 years. If I were to sell my GT3 which I've owned for 10 months tomorrow, I'd stand to make more on the GT3 than the house. Completely hypothetical as the GT3 is staying, but it's all kinds of wrong, economically speaking.

Can anyone tell me then, why these two 930s have sat for the time they have at substantially lesser asking prices than being discussed at present?

Both do seem to be quite heavily modified.

modified and converted cars don't seem to sell. These have definately been modified, but with prices as they are you would have thought they would be worth returning to stock. Maybe they have been converted? Distinct lack of info on heritage in the ads

The fact that they are modified will affect the value quite a lot ...

The trend now seems to be toward buying stock cars. The second one also tells us that it's a Japanese import .... big price killer.

To spend $100k on a modified and imported car is a risk at the moment. If prices were to fall, these would be hard hit and there are alot better cars to invest that kind of money that will have a better chance of retaining their value ...
