Troubleshooter Posted 4February, 2018 Report Share Posted 4February, 2018 It's been on Ebay with the dealer on and off for a few months Lee - after the Sydney owner tried every which way to unload the immovable object, at a king's ransom, for a year or so. Probably consignment I'll bet (or he picked it up for a song)

So looking at 911 996's as being a 3rd/4th car for occasional daily driving and weekend drives which the kid could come along. Current toy is a Locost (Think Caterham) and the wife wont go near it. Was looking at this one if the price is right, the color i am sure is not everyone's cup of tea but will wrap it if it does not grow on me. Any prior knowledge of this car? I have it going in for a PPI next week before flying to up (i am in Melbourne) to check it out. Could not find it by searching the forum. https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/oxley/cars-vans-utes/1999-porsche-911-carrera-1-cabriolet-blue-5-speed-automatic-o-drive-convertible/1166501965 Thanks, Taffy Hi Taffy I notice this green cab is now sold, did you get it? Another 996 in Melbourne If yes - what is it like?

I had a look and drive this on weekend. He genuinely wants to sell. Nice car, great engine with 7R block. Conversion so it has some quirks, but a nicely kept car. Not for me though. Targa. From what I'm told by a couple of very interested buyers with the cash who were ready to book a flight over to buy and drive home, he could have easily sold it twice for the asking price. I really don't care for people who insist on making comments in their adverts blaming everyone else for time wasters, as it's pretty obvious who is the REAL time waster is.
