Whats for sale (in Australia ) and interesting Thread

Recommended Posts

It's interesting that the 993 S manual at $200k is still on carsales.

Fresh for today is this 993 Carrera, black on black, manual coupe with 86k km on the clock at $150k .  Looks to be using the 993 S pricing as a yardstick.  Happy to eat my words if sold quickly.

Looks a little non-stock. Not at all like Chris993 when it comes on the market

I wanted to share  a recent story thats not about hyped prices and hope and I mean no offence to those who have been fortunate from the recent buying bubble. I wanted to share the flip side of the coin.

It is something from recent recent experience in the past month. My purchase has fallen through but probably worthy of note. I essentially purchased and inspected at 95 993 couple interstate in the past few weeks and through some mess ups with a second party taking a second deposit ,  the transaction fell through.   I share as to put things in perspective a 150kms 95 coupe was actually sold to another for at my best guess $50k…    an sold to e for $52k

So as much as I own 80kms 96 993TT and yes it would be nice to think these cars are worth that much but in my experience in the past few weeks ..Money talks and I have sellers ringing me back offering their cars , albeit that im still on the hunt.

So if your an enthusiast and not just an investor , dont give up hope.. im finding genuine deals are to be had , there are  few cars that have super pedigree and probably you might deem special.. but I suggest take your money to the street , the flashy establishments with their marketing and sales teams have to pay their bills..just remember that

Get those cars out on the road and lets make traffic, get them out the show rooms and car banks I say

Cheers

Steve

Well this certainly follows the theory of the least photos, the more expensive.

3 photos for $150K!

I'm listing mine with no photos and no comments. Should break some sort of record.

$2k price reduction (plus some new pics), why has this not sold? Is the market that slow for 928s!!?http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Porsche-928-1981/SSE-AD-3038405/?Cr=4There are currently some nice cars listed, but are any selling??

Holy shit, I reckon I have $8k in gold coins in my centre console - this would make a great garden ornament for the front yard. If it runs, that's a bonus! Way better than the poster I had as a kid.

Maybe he'd take $5k delivered to Melbourne......?

A bit closer to Melb for you and a grand cheaper. Seat wear is odd? Maybe a rabid dog has attacked them...!

A French mob make these http://www.dmoris-styling.com/eng/911-964-993-hardtops---photos-.html

and they are also a factory option.

Either way should be much cheaper than a real coupe. Of course not as torsional strong as a coupe roof, but.....

leather wrapped discrete integrated strenghtening - cage

Definitely not aussi delivered (I think). Usual give always - kms too low which means at some stage the dash has been changed from mph which always makes the total figure a bit suss. And then price - huttons are wanting $200k+ for a low kms aussi delivered. If this were a real aussi you would be looking at $105,000 - $140,000.

Pretty sure this would be a UK import. Looks like a few non original bits - inter cooler upgrade, steering wheel, tyres. Price is probably right, just hope for no rust..
