Heres a cracker!

997.1 6 speed car with PCCB's

Identical to the one I experienced snap oversteer in , on a fast corner at Baskerville! The PCCB brakes worked well , bringing me to a halt after 3 spins!

Keep it away from a track and she'll be apples!

Mark my word this will be a future classic.

Id almost think about trading up! :)

Wouldnt you go against the grain and probably cause domestic civil war by getting into a 997.1 GT3 ?? they are 150-180's and probably have been less.

I do love the daily outlook of a Turbo ..though .. but lets face it they still gotta be on that downward curve…. My car only really bounced back in the past 4 years , in a journey of 19 years..  Splendid journey but ..maybe the 997 turbo will be the same .

Good question.

Depends if you want a long term relationship with Suzy homemaker or a one nighter with a high class escort.

honeslty the Turbo is the more usable car and these 7.1's are also the last Turbo with the Mezger motor so I really do not think it's going to bottom out much lower than low 100.

Just my gut feel on the matter, take it with a grain of salt.

EDIT: I'm surprised youve not looked at the Lapis Blue 7.1 in SA! It's stunning.

yeah not really me either, but when you compare an 80litre 230bph car with a 500bph 60 litre car and one gets just over 300kms and the other gets close to 500kms and in half the time thats progress I guess.

I'm hearing you ...... yet we get just as much pleasure with either, or ...... :D  (that's the grin we get while driving any of them) ....

Not sure I have seen any backdates get into the 150k arena.. and probably not too many 911E/T/S's hotrods in that arena either

I think it's where the real value is in the market. You can't possibly build them for these prices anymore so picking up someone else's hard graft kind of makes sence. Sure there are things you will still want to change but it's an easier process when the thing Infront of you actually runs and drives.

I would love an early car, but this with a 3.6engine would come in a close second and would be a shit hot daily drive. ( the 964's days might be numbered ;) )

agree buy someone else graft... this puppy in the 'bra just sold built on a what year shell and from where was it its originally delivered...price perhaps in hindsight (80K) reasonable - ex race car though with an alleged  3.6 rsr specced motor
