Whats for sale (in Australia ) and interesting Thread

Recommended Posts

True....I wonder how much it would be to convert it back to original LHD ?

you on the shrooms again Chris? Or just trying to get a better deal for your neighbour :)

One of only 169 gen 2 Australian delivered 930's

Built 84 - delivered 85.  The last year 930's were delivered into OZ

Less than 2000 original RHD 930's were built  - this is one of them

140,000kms - looked after by Autohaus

Dream car (I just had another dream)

Not officially advertised yet, because I am still 50/50 whether I am going to let it go and want to get a few interior bits looked at, but hey, you guys need something sexy to look at on the Queens birthday ;)

PM me if you are interested

Driven in the rain, so not a hope for top price - and I'll let Jono do my bidding for me, he drives a hard bargain!

don't forget being used as a utility vehicle for Bunnings, drop a few hundred off for the spilt potting mix on the carpet.

I owned this previously, a great Aussie delivered, matching numbers targa with books, etc. I love the silver targa hoops on the early G Series cars which attracted me to it in the first place

A cracking car in the best 70s colour IMHO, Chris has done a lot of work to it since I owned it in his normal fastidious fashion. Given recent prices, I reckon this is well worth the asking price!

Cheers

Craig

Weird colour though, I'd have to see it in the metal...  If were a "good" colour I'd go for it for sure!

A good looking colour for a 928, very similar if not the same as mine. What do you call a "good" colour? :)

Same.. I stupidly showed my wife and her response was 'bleh'

My wife was the same, but loves my car now :D

Trev I reckon Rattle Can Black and you could just drive it …no license and all..incognito

And they wouldnt believe it was you with the TD plate , no one would be that cheeky.

Maybe someone should just buy it and part it… out.   I begs the seriously cool imobilising device aka  hot red steering lock..

I wonder who wants the tissues off the back seat..maybe thats why the interior is so clean , freshly wiped or regularly wiped ..

So a free Son and Teddy in the deal too ..looks promising , havent owned this model or either of those before !!!

So I get the teddys probably machine washable ..but what happens when the car comes on boost and the kid on burps concurrently..is there like a special dressing to put on the seats to protect from the spew.

I hear there can be maintenance issues but im sure my buddy BBChris can advise me on some of those finer details, his car came with two so it musnt be such a big worry..I hear his got a car cleaning contract now on his collection and that they polish the kids too

I think yours is a much darker, burgundy red that looks good.  This is lighter.

I did some google image searching and think it is 83H Rhodamine Raspberry Red or maybe Coral Red... Yours looks more like it might be 82X Cyclamen Red?

I did the 928 in White, Silver, Blue, Black Guards Red or a more retro-y Brown like Cognac or Copper w Tan or Brown interior would be perfect.

Or @symsy rattle can black!

I am currently hiding my own silver Australian delivered 930 (below) for fear she'll kindly ask me to sell it too....

Do you think you'd mind stashing it for a couple of weeks in your stacker?

panel gaps are a bit wide.  Have you had some lift-off oversteer issues?

Jumping across the ditch … Landy to Porsche..

Fellow shit stirrers , cheif pointing stick operators, copyright hounds and professional virtual tyre kickers, you are hereby cordially invited to inform me and digest my moment of attraction and  German Oil burning desire ..that may tempt me …and cos its close by and I cant be arsed to go to a city to buy a car.. I do have a mild budget contraint of around 65k and have been reminded by the Financial controller that there has been a slight overspend and the motor stationery cabinet is rather spilling over at present .

Functional question can it pull my TT or Escort in a 6m enclosed car trailer and for how long…  Is this car or similar of white nomad ownership and towing highway fame or just the city speed hump demons dream

Enlighten me please PFA and or copy this to another thread if inappropriate
