Even with a $9,500 price drop, this beautifully presented, low km example is still far and away the priciest S4 on the market now. And I don't think the market will meet the seller, even at the new price (as much as I'd like to see S4 prices up there).

Carsales is now indicating this car "sold". If it wasn't withdrawn but sold for, say, 10% below advertised price, this is still a very strong price for an S4. Anyone here know whether it did sell?

I love a good price rise as much as the next guy (owner). But I also lament the days gone when old 911's were somewhat affordable.

It's nice to think a relatively normal person can still afford to buy a nice 928 - even if they choose not to.

Interesting. What was the ask on this one again, I've lost track of it?

The market looks a bit stagnant at the moment ‌@CoSo more cars than needed and prices that people are just not willing to pay for a 928 yet......

What model are you after early or later?

Was looking for a good clean 928 S4, preferably late 80s, looks like that is advertised currently around the 35k mark. Not sure if this is value, I do recall there was a white 928 S4 that sold around mid 20s a couple of weeks back?

I suppose if the car is worth 35k I could swing it.

Pretty sure the car you are referring to was a UK import, hence the lower price. Consensus seems to be that $30k + for an S4 is about right, as long as the car checks out.

That one has little info about it and no interior shots, could be worth a look or more info at least.... really is slim pickings right now for 928s.... the other one that looks good is http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Porsche-928-1987/SSE-AD-4331423/?Cr=0 but price point is a bit higher, probably mainly due to being a manual..... I would wait a bit for the right one to pop up.

That does look very nice, I would probably buy that if it was in the 30s.

Yeah I'll continue to wait and keep my eyes open. I've got plenty of time after all!

Someone will chime in on how simple the electrics are to sort if you're retired and have 8 months to dedicate...

Don't need retirement , just less beer and couch time :) Electrons still go from A>B , even in this century.
