996-7 Turbo Market Watch

Recommended Posts

New to Porsche and looking to buy either a Turbo 996 or Carrera S PDK.
I saw this pop up on Carsales and the guy selling seems legit and even sent me original purchase order. Anyone know anything about this one.

I’d been looking at that it looks to be a very tidy car, not sure the wheels would be roadworthy though as they sit outside the front guards but I’d fit the original wheels that come with the car anyway.

Is there anything I should look out for. Do you think it’s OK value at that price. Guy is the 3rd owner and had it last 9 years. Serviced every year and oil replaced every 6 months. Said he has an inspection report and happy for me to organise another inspection.

Pay a deposit and book it in for a pre-purchase inspection would be my suggestion. Unless you're a qualified mechanic, with experience working on these cars, leave it to the professionals to comb over it.

I recently had a PPI carried out by nineauto in Moorabbin. Honestly couldnt recommend them highly enough. Gave me the confidence to spend the money on the right car, and also just assisted me in general with the transaction.

And we have a new high bar..... for a 997.1

https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2008-porsche-911-turbo-997-manual-awd-my08/SSE-AD-7464373/?Cr=57

Spoke the seller yesterday ( Love to buy the GT2 Spec Wheels- no dice 😃 he has no stock ones)  and he is not keen to sell....

Driven less than 1000klms a year......

Or this one - a low spec  .2 @ Gt3Money.....

When will the madness end....?

nice example, realistically priced for the current asking the moon unrealistic prices!

I'd agree - Love it in white too!

So much better than boring silver/meteor/black that they all seem to come in....

Interesting spec tho.... Deviated red stitching on console, blades and seats - but not dash.... and no PCCB ( debatable) or red belts to match, but XXX hand brake and PDK knob and what appears to be lit door sills......

But competing with what is essentially an older 991 no?

Agreed, looks great in white.

I feel like the 997 interior is dating worse than the 996...Might just be me though who thinks this.

Makes the manual with similar or possibly less ks at Porschaden had a couple of months seems like a bargain

Found myself in 105.com....

these 2 :

https://my105.com/ListingDetails/title/porsche-996-turbo-gt-4wd-targa-car/p/2/k/Porsche/id/23293#lg=1&slide=1

https://my105.com/ListingDetails/title/2003-porsche-996-turbo/p/2/k/Porsche/id/23512

Both seem (on surface) to be a way better drive the one of the butchered overpriced crap ive seen advertised?
