Aussie 964 C4 Manual.

Recommended Posts

After much procrastination, I have decided put the beloved 964 on the market for the next custodian. To those who know how hard I chased a 964 are probably wondering "WHY". To others, it will come as no surprise.

Well the reason is this, the build itch is back with vengeance, Plan is to build myself a touring/track 911.

For the lurkers, I will advertise it here first, then carsales over the next week or so.

Aussie Delivered, 1990 964 C4, manual in a desirable combination of Forest green metallic, tan/beige leather seats/carpet, black dash and headliner.

Air conditioning system works on both hot and cold A/C settings with even distribution of air as it should.

Cruise control, sun roof, power windows, rear wiper, spoiler also work.  This 964 is a known PFA car, I truly believe there is no money to be spent mechanically on this sorted 911.

Paint was professionally corrected late last year and does presents very nicely.

113,XXX Kms with full documented and stamped service history and books from 1990. A folder of receipts for work conducted dating back to 2004 which matches the service history is included.

Build VIN sticker on the under side of the bonnet matches sticker in the owners manual which only adds to provenance of this matching numbers Australian (Hamilton's) delivered 911.

Recently had major service by a independent Porsche specialist including, valve adjustment, oil/filter, fuel filter, distributor service & belt change, new rotor buttons and caps, spark plugs, air conditioner re-gas, wheel alignment & ride hight adjustment, new front drive shaft. Brake system and all wheel drive system has been flushed and fluid replaced.

Single mass clutch and flywheel and four slotted brake discs with new pads were fitted 28,000km ago, receipts for all work are provided.

Sits on Cup 1 wheels, 225/45/17 front, 255/40/17 rear, Goodyear F1 tyres that have done approx 6000km.

Standard D90 wheels with roadworthy tyres are included should a new owner wish to take the car back to the factory configuration.

Complete tool kit, unused spare and compressor are in place.

H&R lowered springs fitted in the front, rear has standard springs, however I have the rear H&R lowering springs or the original front springs should you wish to make your own changes.

Exhaust has a G pipe and sounds fantastic, the standard rear muffler is supplied as is the under engine protective cover.

A Steve Wong performance chip has been fitted along with a new O2 sensor, standard Porsche chip will be provided.
Standard seats with patina are included, currently Recaro sports seats fitted, I will be happy to change these should the buyer wish to do so.

Car runs like a dream, from cold start to hot days with the A/C on as you would expect.

Upgraded Clarion head unit with blue tooth, CD, and hands free phone connectivity, premium Hurtz speakers have been fitted under the stock speaker grills front and rear as the original speakers were perished.

Other items recently replaced due to age and my OCD include door window rubbers/felts, rear fan motor, front bumper plastic under trays and headlight globes.

A large collection of service and various other spare parts are also included, such as standard brake rotors etc.

I believe this is a true drive and enjoy 911 given the recent expenditure and upgrades

A roadworthy will be included if sold in Victoria, however the club permit is not transferable and will be sold unregistered and the plates will be returned to Vic Roads.

Sold with no roadworthy or permit if sold to a interstate buyer.

Expressions of interest are invited at $118,000 or all genuine offers "around" the asking will be considered.

PM me your contact details and I will call you back.

Sorry to see you moving on from the 964 Fraz but I know you will enjoy building your project 911.

This really is a gorgeous 964 and one that has been well cared for, good luck with the sale mate!

Hay @Steve88, dream donor would be a 964 that needs some love. But that will never happen.

Probably a mid 70s to mid 80s car with no accident damage or major rot. Factory right hand drive is probably my main must have due to the whole engineering thing.

I quite like unfinished projects, or even a track car that could be bought back to street use without major mods.

I guess I will know the car when I see it, sell the 64 first then see what I can find.

Does it come with a drivers license?

If not, i'm out...

But any one else looking for an honest 964 should really look at this car.

From what I can tell, all the little usually neglected things are sorted and everything about it's subtle mods are really tasteful improvements.

Good luck Fraz, and I'm hanging to see a build!

Thanks for the kind words about the car guys, I really do love the 64, and I am sure it will be missed.

However I see things like this and think, yep I need to build a car.

Good luck with the sale Fraz - love this car and wish I had the cash. There is a red 964 at Healey Factory that may need a 'little work' - I know very little about these though so may be way off the mark.
