Russ Posted 13July, 2017 Report Share Posted 13July, 2017 Interesting approach to advertising a car (at $40,000):The car has been priced by a local renowned dealer at $60,000. If you are really interested in my wonderful car, I believe the $40,000 is a Deposit and then lets have the car inspected by the NRMA at my expense after the deposit is made. If therefor we find that there is extra issues then i can either rectify or delete from the cost of $60,000. https://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Porsche-911-2003/SSE-AD-4524392/

Not so much at $60k...If a local dealer reckons it's worth $60k, sell it to him.

Brow Posted 13July, 2017 Report Share Posted 13July, 2017 What type of car is this you ask? Would I be out of line in thinking the owner / restorer was a Muppets show fan. In terms of nostalgia, it would be more at home on the TV set of the Muppets i.e Giant sized mockup of a car cockpit for Ernie, Elmo and the gang to take it around the block and do a skit in. classic feature for Hot Fours

SammyD Posted 14July, 2017 Report Share Posted 14July, 2017 Well maybe the market pricing has moved... maybe we are $85-95K for 964 manuals.
scashin Posted 14July, 2017 Report Share Posted 14July, 2017 I've seen a few 964's start at $130k and consistently drop to $100k ish - still not selling. Market is cooling

turboT Posted 14July, 2017 Report Share Posted 14July, 2017 You made the right move.I'm fairly certain I bought a Momo wheel from the same seller some time ago. It absolutely reeked when I got it. Took months to get rid of the cigarette stench.wheel was perfect - no stench. Seller imports from the US. Sent him out on the hunt for some early 911 wheels. top bloke turbo 912what is the engine in this thing?https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/st-albans/cars-vans-utes/porsche-holden-ford/1153815318 race carhttps://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/richmond/cars-vans-utes/1986-porsche-944-turbo-coupe/1153670446

It would be seriously quick being an ex Fitzgerald car. Swap the Cayman Andrew! ?
DJM Posted 15July, 2017 Report Share Posted 15July, 2017 race carhttps://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/richmond/cars-vans-utes/1986-porsche-944-turbo-coupe/1153670446perfect colour and stance I reckon. But $60k....? Sounds like it's a seriously quick car but for $60k (even $30k will do) you have a wide choice of fast track cars. There is a very limited market for people prepared to buy track only cars which means they are often well below build cost on my105.
