Whats for sale (in Australia ) and interesting Thread

Who's going to be first in for the $45k 993 manual coupe with an unknown number of kms (>400,000)

https://carsales.mobi/cars/details/Porsche-911-Carrera-1994/OAG-AD-15111691

The more I look at it the more I am tempted - could be a good no worries daily knockabout. Although who knows what would be required to get to roadworthy

The devil would be in the detail I'm sure. Could be a good pick up for someone who doesn't mind turning a wrench.

My missus gave me the go ahead to buy a targa last week, this is very tempting if the engine didn't need a full rebuild.

Even at 18k on top for an engine rebuild. Still a lot cheaper than any of the previous ones that have come up. Curious how the underside looks as well (bushes etc).

Makes financial sense to dismantle it???? The manual trans bits would sell real quick.

How much do you have to pay to get a 993 3.6 motor complete with ECU? Maybe $30K or more I suspect.

No i think it will be a project for someone and it will be back on the road or track day weapon, or am i very naive?

Unless you bought it and plan to restore / track it, I see the "broken" speedo being replaced with a "working" one and re-advertised with a loss of memory about the "fix" ....

Even with 250, 000 klms on the clock, it would be cheap at $85k ....

Also interesting are a Mazda 1200 coupe with a 13b for 65-75k and an Impreza WRX STi coupe for 30-38 - a future classic for sure.

The piece de resistance is another 450 SEL 6.9 in 70s gold for the mere price of 25-35k.

wow that was cheap, anyone know what was actually wrong with it?

looked fine in the pics, and said engine/gearbox etc was working fine.

I will take a guess & say rust issues. With those high questionable Ks, perhaps it was a UK/Irish import?

Any other trim &/or paint defects are easily fixed up by caryards.

Anyway I hope its not wrecked for cash.

Thoughts? I could be interested if okay? Or too much money to bring up to scratch? Would minimum need seats recovered...
