Whats for sale (in Australia ) and interesting Thread

Recommended Posts

There is a very nice black on black 964 Carrera 4 for sale on carsales as of yesterday. 43,000 kilometres. Rare car, rare colour for the model, and it would be a great way in for someone who's keen to get into Porsches. I'd gladly have it in my garage, and hope someone here jumps on it. If I knew how to post the link I would.

Looks very two-tone on the side shots. Door and quarter don't seem to match at all.

Seems nice enough though.... But I guess I still don't get the 912 thing. They are no longer a bargain entry to p ownership.

Ooh I dunno mate. I get what youre saying, yet for a 60's Porsche, theyre a lot cheaper than a 911 of the same era.

I have met some 70's 911 owners lately, and when I mention I have a 66 912, they usually have gigantic eyes, raised eyebrows and ask if it's for sale!

Errrrr, no, sorry mate, not for sale

For some reason the quotes and copy and pastes don't work for me right now so:

The $36,999 grey 964 C2 Tip with 146,000km - Me likey too for that price and will be interested to hear what you reckon TE911 when you return from a look!

When it was advertised on Carsales for 24 hours earlier this week, I recall the advert stated that Autohaus had been servicing it for 7 years and that it had just been traded for an MB at Sydney City Prestige.

As for the $63,500 black on black 964 C4 with 42,000km - Be interesting to see how long it takes to sell particularly when the normal mileage ones seem to linger forever at around $52,000......

Looks to be a Hong Kong Import. Check the last picture with the owners manual there is Chinese on it.

Its strong money for a C4, however the colour combination is rare and it looks wicked.

I'd value this car in the 50-55k Range.

I'd hate to be in the market for a 3.2 at the moment. It's hard enough to find a good one but now there's 3 on the market, all priced out of the range of anyone with common sense. I love how the first one is a "fast appreciating asset". Not at that price buddy. An identical one, same year, same colour, same kms, same Monty exhaust sold in WA earlier this year for $50,000!

These two have already been mentioned.

I really like the dark blue 3.2 on Carsales at the moment for $55k…I reckon if you could get this car for $50k it would be a bargain..top end rebuild, factory widebody, great colour combination..if it checks out as good as what the ad reads, it’s much better value that the other 3.2’s listed above..

I'm surprised this car is still there to be honest. I think the price is right for a turbo look especially as it's had a rebuild recently. I paid a touch less than that for mine 12 months ago. Other than the '86 also for sale, I've only seen two others on the market in the last 2 and a half years, both were $60k. Gold one at Duttons and another Dunkel Blu for the trainspotters.

I thought Japan didn't get RHD Porkers...some of the Japanese imports you see around are LHD...

Hong Kong is part of China!!! Or maybe I got the text wrong? HK imports are RHD its a RHD Market? or am I smoking Crack?

don't they get RHD cars, but everyone goes for LHD for some prestige reason?

Yep, they love LHD as its a prestige thing, I am with them on that

Don't rule out that these guys are advertising their car to keep the wife happy and tell them they are trying to sell it. That way that get to keep it unless someone is willing to pay them silly money for it, not a bad plan, I know guys that have done that.

There's a car in Canberra that has been for sale for 18 months to keep the wife happy...

Hi, my name is Greg and I am newbie to the PFA. Been a long time Porsche fan and am currently in the market my all time favourite the 930.

Saw this pop up on my alerts this morning. Does anyone know the history of this car, Looking at the VIN is a ROW car but seems quite a lot of work has been done considering the low kms. Obliviously a rare car if genuine.

Any advise would be great.

Greg
