Dreamr Posted 21June, 2015 Report Share Posted 21June, 2015 I went and inspected the car last weekend , and also took it for a test drive. The owner has a very firm(fixed) view on price. FWIW I thought it was priced too high for what I saw, but if prices continue to rise maybe one day it will eventually be a bargain. I don't think that it's priced high for an Aussie car .... so the firm view on price doesn't phase me. When it was originally listed it was priced very high, but since then the price has stayed the same but the market has skyrocketed. Is there something else about this car that you saw that would keep it on the market for 12 months?

LeeM Posted 21June, 2015 Report Share Posted 21June, 2015 Damn it, wish I'd seen that earlier! Money can be found, opportunity is lost. What a cheap entry into 911 ownership!

LeeM Posted 21June, 2015 Report Share Posted 21June, 2015 I know most of us have seen this one has been advertised for $48,888 for what seems the past 20 years, but a $30k hike within a week or so since I last saw it? http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/burwood/cars-vans-utes/1978-porsche-911-sc-blue-5-speed-manual-coupe/1020602132

Never seen a techart Cayman before and I like the colour. That's really different in a good way. Can't believe the wear on the fan and temp switches. Wonder how well the shifter knob has faired. Mike-S Posted 21June, 2015 Report Share Posted 21June, 2015 rusty brit - but prettyhttp://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/melbourne-cbd/cars-vans-utes/1989-porsche-911-coupe/1081992088 If that's the car I think it is then fair play to the owner. It drives nicely, but the $10k of work needed as is mentioned would be a concern, I'd certainly want a thorough ppi first.

Airhead Posted 22June, 2015 Report Share Posted 22June, 2015 Heads up on a 964 C2 manual in white coming up at The Healey Factory for those interested. Anymore info on the 964 ? Sorry guys. Didn't come back to this. Aussie delivery. Don't know Kms but looked a fairly tidy car.. About 80K
f3nr15 Posted 22June, 2015 Report Share Posted 22June, 2015 $80K seems cheap for a locally delivered C2, considering the market of late. Higher miles, perhaps? Or, dare I say it, reasonable pricing?
Peter M Posted 22June, 2015 Report Share Posted 22June, 2015 Peter,80,000km is what's being suggested for this car. No one has said the price yet.
