Whats for sale (in Australia ) and interesting Thread

Recommended Posts

^Some of their prices are absurd! $74K for a Volvo P1800. Easy tiger...... step back from the crack pipe.

You obviously didn't see the 120k SC then!

Nice cars and photography though.  A lot of Australian dealers could learn from that, instead of crappy low-res shots stuffed into carsales.

Advertised as a 964 but unless I am going blind its a 993?!

Personally not a fan of such a contrast in the exterior and interior colours! But if it checks out could be a steal! Further more he is negotiable and even at the asking price of $34,000 looks like a good deal!

Agree with you on the colour combo... but that price is tempting hey? If I had spare $$$ I'd buy it as a daily driver and put roof racks on and a tow bar for my bunnings and tip trips.

Wow! I'm not a Tiptronic guy but this is a good buy at that price. I wouldn't worry about the exterior/interior colours. Buy, drive and enjoy. I'm sure you could sell it down the line for more than purchase price.

I enquired about that confused 964 when it was for sale months ago. The dealer selling it told me to run away and said he wouldn't sell it to me! Said it wasn't a great example. He was a Porsche guy too and told me to buy a good one!

It's been resprayed red. He couldn't explain why it was a 964 with 993 body shape. I'd say the current owner prob had it 6 mths. Advert mentions going away and then down the bottom something about kids and not being able to enjoy the car.

To me, it seems odd. Odd in a WTF I don't trust the car and I bet its a money Pitt kinda way!

Anyone here buy the blue M491 from WA?

Other than the obvious comments on price / value, does this car appear to have the correct bits and pieces to be a genuine australian delivered 491 car ( the white 1988 VIC wide body car with the gills).

There doesn't seem to be anything obvious that would suggest it isn't genuine. I'd ask why the Carerra badge is missing. Aesthetics, badged, or because of a respray. Linen coloured interior in an Aus delivered car seems to be very rare. I don't think I've ever seen it before. Seen plenty from the UK though in linen. Could have been special order though. I'm pretty sure those gills were a "special wishes" option also. Not my taste that's for sure. I think this car caters to a very small market though. You'd be paying a $15-20k premium just for those low kms. And you're edging into 930 and 993 territory. Just my opinion though which doesn't mean you shouldn't be interested. Particularly if you're looking for a concourse condition car as they don't come up for sale very often.
