$405k with 4 days left for a 991.1 R

tempting even with buyers premium of 7.5%

My guess is that it will sell in the 600s.  I see that the 911r prices are slowly starting to drop now too.  The first of them slipped in to the sub $700k bracket in the last week or so.

Not just the P cars dropping in advertised prices. Some F cars also coming off 15-20% from the high water mark.

This is one that popped up today and is my ideal spec.  But I am confused, what happened to the red dials in the close up?  Do they change to black when the lights are on?

If you zoom in you can still see that they a red, but if I recall you don't really notice it at night because it is the markings that are illuminated,  not the dial.

Are these the 2014 models with the problematic engines that Porsche has given a 10 year warranty on??

All 991.1 GT3s have the 10 year motor warranty.   Plus the owner can buy the AUC warranty up until it is 15 years old from date of first registration.

The best motor to have is the G prefix motor, that is the one that Porsche fit now when a motor needs to be replaced.  Just on that too, I have a G series motor and it takes the 991.2 oil filter, so if you are buying a filter don't order the one listed in the parts catalogue as the E and F series motors run a different filter.

Thanks for the info - so if you were to inspect a 991.1 car, does the engine number literally have an "E, F or G" suffix / prefix letter included in the engine number so giving you a clue to what you are buying??

Yes, but normally this isn't recorded in any paperwork.   The dealer system will normally show the engine number it was sold with and quite often registration paperwork isn't updated without it has to go in for a full inspection again.  The service book in my case hasn't been updated either and the car still has the original vin and engine number stickers still on it everywhere.

The best think to do is to delve in to its back history.

What type of car/spec are you looking for?

This guy wants $60000 extra than all the others on the market because of the special exhaust fitted.  Wow $60K is a lot for a tuned exhaust.  The klm's are a lot higher than others on the market too.  He is marketing it as a GT3RS performing car with the exhaust so wants an extra $60K.  GLWS!!! (yeah he will need it)

Yeah, I saw that.  He was in negotiations with Brighton,  but obviously his price expectations are way off.

That is just stupid, part of the RS equation is weight reduction... 10kg off for the exhaust? cool, but easily 10kg + added back for the electric comfort seats 😂 they are bloody heavy compared to buckets, let alone all the other diet stuff an RS gets.

991.2 GT3 CS freshly run in for under $320k.  Assume you could crunch a 299k deal here given lots of them on market

how long before they start to list in the 2s and then what happens to the mid 200k 991.1s with their 10 (or is that 9 or 8) year engine warranty 🤔

looks like the days of getting a GT3 allocation to flip for a profit are long gone, I assume these were $400k ish new?   Back to "normal" depreciation with is good
