Harvs11 Posted 30August, 2015 Report Share Posted 30August, 2015 A gentle cruise through the hills with a group from work. The pace was leisurely as we had a variety of cars and bikes. We started at Lysterfield Lake heading to Gembrook, Launching Place and a stop for coffee and donuts at Noojee trestle bridge. A quick stop at Blue Rock Lake then on to a pub lunch at Trafalgar via Willow Grove road. hugh, Niko, tazzieman and 1 other
ByronBayChris Posted 30August, 2015 Report Share Posted 30August, 2015 (edited) Trip with PCQ to Lamington National Park. Roads were long, winding, narrow and sometimes rough. The food at the cafe, however, was even rougher than the roads. Nearly bumped into a kangaroo on the 35km of windy roads. Good day had by all. Spannerhead Posted 31August, 2015 Report Share Posted 31August, 2015 I went for a short spirited drive on one of my local favourite's. The Coolamon scenic rd , I know it like the back of my hand, every bump, piece of gravel, its a little like my back yard track. Now I have never ever seen a HWP car on it until yesterday, as I crested a blind hill I backed off considerably and there he was !! Quickly checked speedo, hovering around 90 Shit !! I did not look as we passed, hart pounding I watched the rear vision , waiting for that light ! Had I encountered him any time earlier I would be without licence today. Just one of the many joys of owning a Porsche. Safe driving.

He borrowed the Pana from his Dad so the wife and kids could come along too. The red 997 C2S was also borrowed as that guy's car (Alfa Romeo) was in the workshop, again, getting an engine rebuild. TrevMcRev Posted 5September, 2015 Report Share Posted 5September, 2015 Blat up to Lake Mountain today for work, took the Cayenne as I didn't know the final location until there and didn't want to end up having to go off-road in the 911. It did pretty well trough the twisties, even chasing down the motorbikes who thought they were going well through the spur! Impressed overall, may have to bring it on a SMT for a laugh sometime...might show up some of those old aircooled cars! withers and Mike737

Impressed overall, may have to bring it on a SMT for a laugh sometime...might show up some of those old aircooled cars!I went up that way a fortnight ago, but at $47.00 or similar to drive up the mountain with ten million snow bunnies in their SUV's I backed off, and went on to Marysville for a coffee. Are they still charging that amount (which I think is a bit of=ver the top) to go up the hill?
Stew F Posted 6September, 2015 Report Share Posted 6September, 2015 Heading off to Belair National Park for a family picnic today, so I thought I'd take the Porsche. Even though the weather isn't 100%. ANF

D-banger Posted 6September, 2015 Report Share Posted 6September, 2015 So after the above comments about the great condition of the Reefton Spur I made a last minute decision to give it a blast after seeing the dry weather report for today. I also was desperate to give the new Bilstein coil overs a proper workout.very early start. Didn't do the mountain as its still being tolled for the skiers. Even experienced two (the only two) standard cars pull over to very politely allow through. Much appreciated. Met this 997.2 GT3 driver dude with a great sounding car. Passed GUT on our return trip and gave a waive to a dark coloured 964 near Packenham Niko, GUT and Fraz
