OBRUT Posted 26January, 2022 Report Share Posted 26January, 2022 So last year I sold 2 930’s - a 79 and a 77. Then I realised I had no 930… Being an 80’s tragic I bought this. Endured a 1400+ km trip to bring it home. Love it. Slant, strakes, Louvers, boxed rockers. It has it all! crsedge, Rick V, Carrera28 and 21 others 23

Coastr Posted 27January, 2022 Report Share Posted 27January, 2022 One must of course plug any 930 gap in the garage. what’s the history? When and where was it nose-Flattened? I’m not usually a big fan but I do like the front end treatment on this one- a lot more subtle.

I thought Vienna by Ultravox was the right choice as I left Deniliquin - Deni being the Vienna of the Riverina… 32 minutes ago, Coastr said: One must of course plug any 930 gap in the garage. what’s the history? When and where was it nose-Flattened? I’m not usually a big fan but I do like the front end treatment on this one- a lot more subtle. A man saw a slant nose in a magazine and the rest was history. He bought a 79 930, bought a slant body shell that had received a rear end whack, bought a G50 - gave the lot to a shop and they had at it. Full mechanical rebuild, full paint, full interior and engine by Figaret (ex Kremer) with lots of tasty bits. I’m having to undo some 90’s interior styling choices but otherwise it’s excellent. Current 17” wheels are temporary until I can get some 16” gold mesh 3 piece wheels widened and restored. What a find, the seller would have struggled to find someone more appreciative of it's potential than you - dare I say "thank lord that someone is saving the badass slantnoses!" Mike-S Posted 28January, 2022 Report Share Posted 28January, 2022 Tidy 👍 Deniliquin is where my Targa spent it’s formative years of 88-91, before moving to its 3rd owner in Melbourne who I bought it from. Johnson’s Supermarkets. From the stone chips, I’d say there weren’t many sealed roads. OBRUT
OZ930 Posted 28January, 2022 Report Share Posted 28January, 2022 Lots of long boring straights, mostly tarred but back roads are unsealed and treacherous when wet. It’s where I tipped over my Datto 1600. Car club track is also dirt. Lived there 4 years never saw a Porsche. Years later I saw an adv. for a red 930 there. Wonder if that was the donor car for your slopey. OBRUT
Peter M Posted 29January, 2022 Report Share Posted 29January, 2022 Didn't Autohaus Hamilton find a 1975 930 for Magnus Walker out that way?

There’s an episode of Selling Houses Australia where it’s briefly visible in an outbuilding of the property they bought it from.
