Rob Posted 23August, 2015 Report Share Posted 23August, 2015 hey bobpicked up a (kinda rusty) 2002 shell yesterday with all the trim and rebuilt turbo driveline in boxes off a friend who alas has no space for it anymore.even with the body work required i'll still come out waay ahead in cost compared to say, a 2.7 targa at current rates will aim to look like this when done. SamWell done - had a look at one of these a few years ago at Pullenvale, had been sitting for many years, with melted steering wheel etc. Didn't have my present facilities, so didn't proceed.Good luck with yours, keep us posted.BTW your CAPS key doesn't seem to be working... Coastr Posted 23August, 2015 Report Share Posted 23August, 2015 I think we would get along! That blue E30 is horn!I've long wanted a TA22 celica (prefer the non mustang-back) with something like an FC20 under the bonnet with some nice ITBs. A few hotrod touches like the flares, fender mounted mirrors and dished rims. Love the bonnet art on this black one!Check out this fella from Sydney with the reversed steelies!http://www.the-lowdown.com/fonzzy-wallpaper/That looks so much like my old car. Not many drop-tank, flat taillight TA22s GTs in Oz I bet! When I got mine it had the chin spoiler and JDM mirror holes but I got rid of those X-)I'm with you -TA22 or nothing. No other Celica has had such pure lines.

CarreraG50 Posted 24August, 2015 Report Share Posted 24August, 2015 At the risk of offending Tassie, I have often thought of an LS engine in a 928, cheap servicing, plenty of performance mods available.Donor car say $7500 + Engine say $2500 + labour say $3000 + incidentals say $2000 for around $15k you would have a cool reliableperfomance car. ANF Posted 24August, 2015 Report Share Posted 24August, 2015 ^ Or $15k will buy you a nice 928.....

Ozvino Posted 24August, 2015 Report Share Posted 24August, 2015 Ok..I just bought another Alfa as a donor for our project (that we have not started ) . Outlaw style? Or sympathetic period resto with some subtle additions? Nice ! Are you planning on building a Giocattolo?we have similar tastes in cars, I've had a GTV 2 and a GTV 6 many years ago. Cool cars just shocking rust and they fell apart in the end . I always dreamt of a Giocattolo back in the late 80'shttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giocattolo

If you can! ? that car ^^ was something else wasn't it? 1000HP in 900 kg chassis = ?sad day when he crashed it & lost his life...
