cyberpunky Posted 14September, 2013 Author Report Share Posted 14September, 2013 Love the Martini logos and your 944 Redman. V sweet. I had a plan to replace the pulleys on my motor with a set of light weight balanced units I picked up a while back, and to do the belts, with Pauly's help. On Thursday when I was getting started I noticed I had an issue with my fan shroud. It had a cracked support arm for my high speed fan and that had completely broken and the fan was unable to spin at all and also shroud had vibrated itself and broken loose at the top. Luckily I had picked up a replacement from the UK a few weeks ago, with the idea that next time I was in there I would put it right and fit the undamaged unit. At that stage the fans were still working properly. Well anyway bottom line was getting the fans sorted became the priority, and due to a stripped grub screw on the rotor, we didn't get to fit the pulleys, but we did get fans sorted, which was huge relief. I can't thank Pauly enough for his help today as couldn't have done it without him. Cheers

tazzieman Posted 14September, 2013 Report Share Posted 14September, 2013 15 mins !! must be some special clay bar. Mixed with elbow grease. Honestly , this was max . And mostly , just the rear 1/4 that needed it. The advantages of out of city living? That , and seeing the stars at night

tazzieman Posted 15September, 2013 Report Share Posted 15September, 2013 Quick wax after the claybar , quality engineering Then a little fang down to the 30% Repco sale and a quick burst of welly around the local country twisties & then onto the afternoon's tasks ; why are my now ready-for-shakedown ol' L'rover brakes leaking? I mean I replaced the seals 2 years ago, but have not even used the vehicle, hmm , Chinese rubber??? Not quality , not happy.
SteamWolf Posted 15September, 2013 Report Share Posted 15September, 2013 Looks tops Tazzieman! I fixed a vacuum leak (runs like a pearler now), fitted the door cards Mr Pie kindly donated, and pulled out the daggy front speakers.
