Harvs11 Posted 24August, 2013 Report Share Posted 24August, 2013 Good work. As long as you are hooked I will drop mine off for you You're welcome to drop in for a polishing party (eew, that sounds wrong) but you have to do your own rubbing (um, so does that)
D-banger Posted 24August, 2013 Report Share Posted 24August, 2013 Very impressive engine bay Harvs. Puts me to shame. So I guess I will see you do even more engine lid up demos at DakDak cafe on the next meet up. Good one Chris. I'm looking forward to checking out the new boots when next we meet. Harvs11 Posted 25August, 2013 Report Share Posted 25August, 2013 Dak Dak show was a once only. Young bloke ( I think it was Adam) was looking at JimTT's engine bay plumbing and was still curious to see what a Porsche engine looked like

Greg944 Posted 25August, 2013 Report Share Posted 25August, 2013 Removed the torsion bar beam and trailing arms from the spare car (944S) in preparation for a rebuild with Elephant Racing Poly bronze bushes M030 bars and then transplanted into the S2?. Everything unbolted reasonably well, although I have to ask, is it necessary to pull the entire handbrake mechanism apart to remove the handbrake cables? Cheers Greg

Did all the unsafe things with a jack to get her out of reverse to push her back in.

_Tony Posted 29August, 2013 Report Share Posted 29August, 2013 Posted this in another thread, but thought it was worth posting here. The door pockets have bowed out over the years and decided to try straighten the passenger side pocket out last night. I used a heat gun to heat the bowed sections and then clamped them down to straighten and left overnight. I also took the door pocket lid off and straightened that out. After years of elbows resting on it that had bent as well. There seems to be a metal rod inside the lid since it was very easy to manipulate back. I forgot to take before shots of the passenger door which had a more severe bow than the driver side, but i took a pic of the driver side to demonstrate: Here is the door pocket clamped after heat application and after: very happy with the result. Now for the driver side pocket Kerry, Peter M and JustJames
