An Oldie (2007) but a goodie.  He's 10 now and still with us.

Plaster cast for 6 weeks, then a placky support for 8 weeks. Cats are seriously resilient.

He didn't mind a drive in the R32 running errands on the parcel shelf.

This thread needs some pic updates.....

Wilson, our other child and my sons fur brother! Rescue dog, RSPCA seized him at 6 months then spent another 12 odd months gaining custody of him through the courts....

Had him for almost 7 years now, absolutely the happiest and friendliest dog I have ever come across, a true member of the family :)

Doing his best "vegetarian" impersonation and trying to eat raw carrot!!

Not exactly my pet but......

IMG_0265

Out doing my morning walk at about 6.45 this morning when I came across this critter.:Sweating:

I reckon he was about 5 foot in the old language....:Speechless:

After crapping myself we both decided to go our own ways.   Which I was very happy about.:CoolDance:

ha ha, I did cop it from the family,.... from the wife down to the Grand kids, when I sent them the photo from the phone just after I took it.

I did tell the grand kids, that it attacked me and  I wrestled with it for a short time... as it tried to wrap itself around my neck I  bit it's head off..... I don't think they believed me though...

Time to mow the lawn there. Vacant block? Council property? Your place??

In the Skye/Carrum Downs reserves where we had the fires about a fortnight ago.   I also had a baby one about 12" long crossing the path on my way back from my walk.

Tried to get a shot of him but he headed back bush pretty quick.

I think the place is crawling with them....

My dog has separation anxiety. Is there a way to get that out of her? Last year I went to Europe for a month. When I got home she went ballistic, which is understandable.  Yesterday I went to put some rubbish in the outside bin. When I got back she went ballistic. I was gone for all of 2 minutes.

Best suggestion so far.  Which leg do they normally wear them on?

For me or her?  I know, 1 for her, 2 for me.

Maybe we should take them to the new city dog park for a play date. We can talk Porsches.

I saw this on tv.

You leave and return every 20 min for about a half dozen times so they confident you will return. True story.

Oh and when you get home ignore them go inside for a minute then come out to greet them.

will try the first bit.  I do the second part each day when I come home from work.

I think she needs to be more intellectually stimulated.  Sometimes I leave the radio on a talk-back station during the day so there's some voices.  I'll have to see if she likes crossword puzzles.

We have 2. My son has a 2 1/2 year old male Siberian Husky.  He annoys the hell out of her, because she just wants to chill, and he wants to play and run around.  He's a lovable nutcase.

20 min is too long. Pretend to go outside but don't, get car keys out but don't go out, step outside then immediately back in, there's a lot of work up before 20min is achievable.

also, drugs. Because none of this will be absorbed when they are so wound up.

Either they are equally effective on human or dog :P

more stimulation is always a good thing to distract. Unless too wound up, because then it won't even register to them.

Get a second dog @Stew F :D

Unfortunately often the second dog will learn off the first. Get the first one somewhat stable then add new dog. Otherwise you are just adding a stressful change onto an already stressed dog.

Uhoh.....think You might be in trouble there mate! ?

We had behavioural issues with Roxy the Maltese, as she hadn't been socialised as a pup, and was a bitey little bitch and not friendly to anyone (was already there when me and the missus got together) which got to the point of ultimatums. (As you know, I love dogs more than humans, so it wasn't a fun time) Anyway, we got a dog whisperer in, and within 5 minutes, she was a totally changed dog. Turns out it was me that was at fault for letting her rule the house. Sounds silly, but I would seek professional help to see what you can do. I'd say she's bored out of her skull, as you do long hours and is lonely. Maybe some socialising will help?  I'd do what @clutch-monkey says, as he is a guru that I have received bloody good advice from in the past (you got that cheque yet?)
