ByronBayChris Posted 7January, 2016 Report Share Posted 7January, 2016 Yep. The front tie down straps remind me of dolly partons bra........holding on with all the strength of whatever imitation fabric from which they are made.Buy it and take it to a Porsche show. Play find the engine. Not been in here for a while. Has this been mentioned? A not very good Speedster replica $130K WTF? http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Porsche-356-1955/OAG-AD-12244351/?Cr=0 discussed a while ago. Very expensive beetle. Some very odd interior components.

Pork Chops Posted 7January, 2016 Report Share Posted 7January, 2016 (edited) 81 SC on eBay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/141870200169?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2648&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITUK car maybe & the guy is shocked with the response & bids he is receiving. Looks like a lot of workI've just bought a 78 SC recently and it was a runner but needed lots of work to bring it up to a minimum standard. There is much more to go to get it to a good standard. Hate to think what this car would cost to do the same to and at the current buy price would end up out the top end of AUS delivered car pricing. Either prices just moved up or someone's doing a lot of work themselves, or the sell price on this is already too high. 81SC Posted 7January, 2016 Report Share Posted 7January, 2016 I think you might be right about it being a UK car .... I have that feeling as wellYou are also right about it looking like a ton of work ....I can also assure you that the guy selling is not the only one shocked with the responses and bids .... at 8am this morning it was at $12,300 .....I nearly fell off my seat when I looked at it again and it was in the high $30's ....... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/141870200169?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2648&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITFar out, this thing got to $44,300. 2 bids have now been retracted, one at $44,300 & the other was $44,000. Now currently at $25,000.This car is in my neck of the woods, might have a look on the weekend. I'm curious, because the chassis number is about 20 cars before mine. Coastr Posted 7January, 2016 Report Share Posted 7January, 2016 Ha, I came to talk about the real live eBay auctions of a 911, I'm not disappointed to find it already discussed! The frenzy shows eBay is not a bad idea after all. One LHD car for me is enough! Two Wong's don't make a right. EDIT: "The most original".. Not so sure about LHD.. But I know for a fact that Australian delivered 3L Carrera's have only one side mirror...!?
