BJM Posted 31October, 2014 Report Share Posted 31October, 2014 I love those BBS rims but would they be legal for road use with no DOT or JWL stamps? I'm thinking not. For the widebody guys?http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67966 or:http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68126
Tit Posted 1November, 2014 Report Share Posted 1November, 2014 I met a cop in Adelaide who once told me he could defect a new commodore rolling off the production line. So I generally concern myself with insurance more than what's legal in what state. But on the magnesium wheels....I guess they can be your track rims then! I love those BBS rims but would they be legal for road use with no DOT or JWL stamps? I'm thinking not.
BJM Posted 1November, 2014 Report Share Posted 1November, 2014 Yer as cool as they are, I would hate to get knocked back on insurance just for having those rims on the car.
Cal Posted 4November, 2014 Report Share Posted 4November, 2014 A bigger concern should be that magnesium deteriorates over time, despite how pretty they are. Show rims maybe. Race rims... no.

LeeM Posted 7November, 2014 Report Share Posted 7November, 2014 I was just on a Facebook Porsche page where theres a nice mid 60's 911 for 53000 euros. Some bloke says its too high or 'are you selling gold'? He doesnt seem too impressed with what 911's are fetching nowadays Euro to Oz dollar conversion is around $75k. For a nice matching numbers 2.2 litre T model I thought was pretty good really, considering what some are being advertised for here
