Whats for sale (in Australia ) and interesting Thread

Recommended Posts

Is this the one that was for sale in Camberwell about 1 year ago? The stolen and recovered one in the 80s that was rebuilt using parts from a doner LHD jap import

Not sure but the tail reminds me of the Camberwell one

It doesn't need a Maccas cup in the door pocket.Probably got used johnnies under the seats.

Why not spend a little bit of effort , better pics not excuses - and go for 10k extra. Easy money.

Maccas cups, used jonnies, stolen and recovered .... LHD !!!

... all sounds a little rock n roll outlaw to me ...

Hey are you thinking what i'm thinking Turbo T??

LET'S FLIP IT TO MAGNUS!!

non matching engine chassis - engine is USof A . chassis is ROW RHD.

engine is like Iraq after 1st desert storm - oil everywhere

car had a lot of repaint

front A pillar full of rust

sunroof drain tubes rusting out....

I was so tempted by that 2.7, but my wife would no longer be my wife. How can you go wrong for that money? Perfect base for a project...

I tell my wife it's cheaper than a mistress..

looks a bit dull in the paint despite being taken at night!

still at $45k must be the cheapest coupe on the market?  Fix up a bit of rust, cis-> carbs and reseal (bound to be a dead stud?), get it running good and drive it longtime!

nice wing but, I'll have that bit.

feel like a 70s rock star

...I think that means doing drugs, going to India and getting a venereal disease?

feel like a 70s rock star

I was around in the 70s and don't associate 911s with any rock star. Stars went for Jensen Interceptors , Aston Martins & Merc 600 Grossers , Rollers and Bentleys with cocktail cabinets . Not pokey little sports cars you couldn't even fit a Janis Joplin in :D But perhaps a Lambo or Ferrari if you were ever in the Yardbirds or Faces , eh Michel?

911s were cars for "other types" in the 70s. Not kids with Maccas cups.

I tell my wife it's cheaper than a mistress..

True story. My cousin went home one day and says to his wife - "when you get as successful as I am, you look for distractions your money will buy. Some take a mistress, some buy racehorses and some go to the casino and play for large stakes. You will be pleased to know I have done none of those and instead, I have bought a football team (he owned Millwall for many years).

6 months later, at a dinner party, his wife tells this story and says "I wish he had taken a mistress. I would have seen a lot more of him and he would have paid me more attention as he tried to cover it up!".

Someone, ( @symsy ) go buy this. Now.  997 GT3RS for $285K.  Free storage in Melbourne available for the odd hotlap in return.

Only driven on Sundays by an elderly gentleman, think his name is Jim...

What does the collective think the taint is worth as a premium over the redbook price? Is a bonnet sig required?
