Whats for sale (in Australia ) and interesting Thread

Recommended Posts

Had cause to go to Brocky's property a few times - my ex was on the rebirthing (not the car type!) self discovery trip and one of Bev's hippy buddies was living in the spare house doing healing - anyway there's Brocky watering near the drive as I pull up and say hi - wearing I kid you not, a tie dye flowing t shirt and happy pants. Not a good look on the dashing Sir Peter!!!!

Isn't this one of our members cars?

Have noticed a slight lift in asking prices for 997's on Carsales ATM. obviously they may not be getting the price however when I bought mine nearly 12 months ago there were a few for sale with less k's and selling for less. Is it because current sellers have had not comparable cars to set their price on?

seems a few good examples like this one.

Don't know where my first reply went.

I saw this car at Cavaco's when it first arrived in Sydney.  It had been restored by Dave Belford at CRT and looked fantastic.  I had looked at buying it before CRT bought it but passed - it needed re-everythinging.

Nope.

Have a '68 five speed box and all the bits but haven't been able to bring myself to do it.

Especially after seeing the silver '68 sporto go for $286,000 USD at Amelia Island last month ... admittedly no better example out there than that, but still raises the bar on the much maligned clutchless cruisers.

The owner is on the forum. I think if you have gone that far, I would go the full 965 body as well..... I can hear the faint music in the back ground ".....bad boys, bad boys...."

I learnt yesterday that the 964 Turbo is not a 965. Apparently the 965 is a V8 engined 911 from the mid 80's!

That is very interesting, although reading the comments, I am not sure who to believe. There seem to be quite a few 964 Turbo owners with 965 stamped on them...? It sounds like a task for Mrs Jeff ?
