tazzieman Posted 15May, 2016 Report Share Posted 15May, 2016 Love the cars @LeeM , do not like what they have done to the old girl poor thing would be scrapping it's belly on the ground and scrubbing rear tyres.....Factory airbag system worth more than the car , so ghetto is the usual approach. Ride comfort not an issue at 35km/hr! But hey , pop your cap on backwards and you're the chauffeur dude!
Stew F Posted 16May, 2016 Report Share Posted 16May, 2016 Today the client I'm working at scored some calendars from Mann Filter with some great shots of the WTCC AMG GTS, promoting the 24 hours race at the Nurburgring next weekend. I managed to grab one. Tips and LeeM

tazzieman Posted 19May, 2016 Report Share Posted 19May, 2016 Sitting up high to make it easy for the snipers. They never got one though? I think the aura was so strong; a force field. My mate's father was a surgeon in Africa who fixed idi Amin's broken arm in the 60s. That kinda makes me internet famous doesn't it? ANF Posted 1June, 2016 Report Share Posted 1June, 2016 Missing my W210, I would have one of these in a heartbeat! The very rare W210 E36, 3.6 6 cylinder that is lighter with almost the same performance as the fabled E55
LeeM Posted 1June, 2016 Report Share Posted 1June, 2016 Recent Cars n Coffee meet here in SAA mates slammed Merc you've seen before, and a very clean 'Finny' (?) tazzieman
maddin Posted 2June, 2016 Report Share Posted 2June, 2016 Came across some some very nice Mercs over the years...VLN Nuerburgring in 2011...first season the sls was racing me thinks. Nuerburgring 2002 if I remember correctly..Mercedes had lots of cars in the old paddock...unfortunately they tend to perfectly restore their old race cars, destroy the patina and with it all signs of their glorious history :-/they must have missed the boxes.. maddin Posted 2June, 2016 Report Share Posted 2June, 2016 Flemington racecourse.. 4-door is not enough..get a 6-door! some nice cars in and around Melbourne! Tips, ANF and tazzieman
ANF Posted 2June, 2016 Report Share Posted 2June, 2016 I went to Flemington a few years ago, nice bunch of cars there. Big Merc presence but a few P cars as well
maddin Posted 3June, 2016 Report Share Posted 3June, 2016 I think Mercedes is partial sponsor of the event. Porsche has a tiny island in a sea of Jag's and MG's.1 or 2 914's ,a couple of 911's..sometimes a 928 and I've seen a 550 replica ...tiny island. ANF Posted 3June, 2016 Report Share Posted 3June, 2016 I went in 2012 (back in the day when I had all my Mercs...) and there was quite a few, a couple of 356s, the 914 half a dozen 911 +/- , Boxster and more... It is a really good show, used to have kids stuff too, I assume still does?
maddin Posted 3June, 2016 Report Share Posted 3June, 2016 used to have kids stuff too, I assume still does?as in model cars and toys? that's no kids stuff that's for adults!
ANF Posted 3June, 2016 Report Share Posted 3June, 2016 as in model cars and toys? that's no kids stuff that's for adults! No, model cars are definitely for the big kids I was talking more of the stuff to keep the kiddies entertained while the adults drool over cars
maddin Posted 3June, 2016 Report Share Posted 3June, 2016 ah yes...the cages with the alibi animals mixed in there. yes...definitely the kids zone! ANF

Look at the ones they have FS in Classic Porsche and other Classics mags. Great provenance, but all the soul has gone. But at least the ones dragged around the world for historic racing by the P museum are oily , smelly and worn! hugh Posted 9June, 2016 Report Share Posted 9June, 2016 I'll leave that one for you @hugh I am a huge MB fan but the styling of the CLA leaves me cold...Its a good friends car that I've been given the job of selling..............thought it maybe worth sharing on here. Not my cup of tea, its most likely going to be getting replaced with a 997 thanks to my influence. Scott930

ANF Posted 9July, 2016 Report Share Posted 9July, 2016 You could probably swap it for your 930 with only having to pay a little extra I am sure that it won't poke out of your stacker too far.......
spiller Posted 9July, 2016 Report Share Posted 9July, 2016 I just got done clicking over 5000 kms in this and really happy with it. Not a classic MB but prior to owning this my interest in the brand was zero. I would consider more of the range in future now.
