I don’t understand miscommunication… the car was off on a PPI so surely they knew his intentions!

I don’t see how the dealer didn’t take him seriously when they let the car go to another workshop at the buyer’s expense, and I don’t see a buyer tyre kicking when it costs $800

You’d be amazed at how far into things people go without following through. This is why the whole notion of a deposit exists in the first place. Not suggesting that mbedford was going to pull out of the deal, but dealers being in the business would have seen it all. At the end of the day money talks…

Just to reiterate, at no point was I asked, or the subject of putting down a deposit was brought up. Sending the car to another workshop for 2-3 days for a very detailed independent PPI. at my expense., I think would show how serious I was.

The fact the dealer sold the car it seems WHILST it was at the PPI, and didn't follow though with communicating to me, was the total immorality of the dealer.

Yes next time I will insist to put down a refundable deposit subject to the outcome of the PPI.

OK moving on, did you guys say this ones been called up and no luck him budging on price? https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2010-porsche-911-gt3-997-series-ii-manual-my10/SSE-AD-6859416/?Cr=1

It's got @wilson59 written all over it!

I do very much like it Hugh but I feel it is overpriced for me . I would rather pony up the extra and go 991.2 again they are a nicer car IMO .

I think that car realistically is $270K maybe $280K tops  to me but maybe more to someone else

That black CS is beautiful.

Yep, the seller is the guy I bought my 996.2 GT3 from...... great guy to deal with and a fanatical Porsche tragic........ the perfect guy you'd want to buy a Pcar off of, and can't imagine you'd find a better example.

That said, agree with @wilson59....... certainly asking FULL price.

@wilson59 was your 991 PDK or manual?

What’s up with the full nomex seats in the black one above? I’ve never seen them in a 7.2. All the others I’ve seen have leather bolsters with alcantara inserts.

Spoke to Greg (the owner today ) the car has a deposit on it . I expressed my offer and he seemed open to that and would get back if the deal falls through .
