I'm still wondering after 7 weeks on assignment at Autohaus why it hasnt sold https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2007-porsche-911-gt3-997-manual-my07/OAG-AD-19681666

Looks to be a good car to me. What you reckon it's worth guys?

Question, do these thicknesses means the discs are close to needing replacing?

Just the price .. or did non CS cars get sold in this arena .. the whole 997 market has been pretty flat and non eventful

I just dont understand the average tyres and why you wouldnt just do the brakes , probably hasnt had a full service/fluids done on it and the log books stamped with the treacherous  yearly glance ... tell me how i know ;)

Oh shite, It's already sold...? @901er , did you buy it? I'm interested in the wing.

I'm working on a project and was just about to have one of these made, but haven't decided on which one. Can you help?:

Under moderate use, you’ll probably get a good deal of time out of them, from memory there is about 2mm total wear from new to replacement... with the right shop, you’re looking around $4k in my experience for all new rotors, pads & sensors.

So on that basis,  the front discs are 3/4 worn and the rears 1/2 worn. ok. they dont sound like the most expensive thing in the world to replace.

I priced new rotors at Master Parts and they are 390 a corner , I reckon probably 2500 with pads and sensors doing it yourself

It’d be close, the OE front Pagids are around $900... which blows it out.

Last time I did DIY I think it was just shy of $3k

Is that for Porsche branded or OEM equivalent like Sebro or the like etc? $390 is not bad at all.

Even less from Oseas Porsche OEM  Sonnen or 4 square and you will want calliper bolts.. supposedly 1 time use .. or go to another brand.. as i said why people dont do em is beneath me and they probably aint done the brake fluid flush and either .. ?

I thought less, I'm sure it was 165 when it was at Richmonds

Only 4000km's added in a few years

Aligned.   Last asking was circa 165k.   Similiar  timing ( the red one took a while to sell) as a better conditioned white one with  less km's  in Perth that sold within circa a week  that was asking less than 150k.

That’s a PCSA member’s old car. I had the pleasure of sliding on its coolant in T1 at Mallala after it shat a fitting a few years ago. Nice car. Looks like the current owner has fitted the cage. Price is not bad in the current market considering what autohaus are asking for the mixed-spec white one. I’m sure it won’t last too long.

It was sold for a move into a silver 1 GT3RS, going for a "drive" with PO on Sunday morning.  Purchaser was a builder a believe, a Merc guy apparently, so not wedded to our marque, so probably trying to turn a quick profit perhaps.  Just had a quick look back thru photos to see if I could see a cage, undetermined but I can ask Simon on Sunday

Yep, Richmonds actually sold it twice.

#1 https://richmonds.com.au/portfolio/2007-porsche-911-gt3-4/

#2 https://richmonds.com.au/portfolio/2007-porsche-gt3-touring/

The second time it was listed (for a while) at $169k & then sold to Tas and the owner fitted roll cage and stickers (sharkwerks exhaust too iirc).

When the Tas owner listed it was at $198k, and it sold at almost asking price. That was actually May 2020 as I was interested, so this was first hand.

Once you allow for freight Vic stamp duty at 9% ~ $18,000... slim profit if any.
