Whats for sale (in Australia ) and interesting Thread

Anyone know the history of this car?

Looks like 'Bastardo' in the corner of one of the photos? Full cage maybe? Former thrashing machine?

I think the first photo is an aspirational image? It's Vinny's car, don't recal it having a cage.

There have been several 993's i've seen with reduced asking prices after their initial listing price. Maybe this reflects the upward trend of 997's. They are certainly and easier car to live with and the interiors don't age as much IMO. Maybe this price represents a more realistic selling price as opposed to some of the asking prices listed.

I spotted this one yesterday.  Looks fantastic and a "low" price too.

That said, I wonder how it's registered with that steering wheel?

Its the slightly less desirable non varioram model and slightly higher kms. That shouldn't distract any interested parties as the 993 is the most well rounded air cooled car in my opinion. Its much better buying than the 3.2s and SCs that are out there. Again, personal opinion.

Besides, the mods and works done is $20k right there.

"Hand built (re-built) from scratch. on a full (original constructed) Chassis, to almost identical specifications. " So it started on an original constructed chassis and ended up being almost identical. Geez.....what a clown.

If you just have to have a countach it's not bad as far as replicas go.  At least it has a v12 and looks to be roughly correct.  I've seen much worse!

still remember when you couldn't give away a countach .. unique cars used to be lousy with them back in the day.
