DT Posted 13September, 2017 Report Share Posted 13September, 2017 2000 996 Carrera manual coupe with x51, and 130k kms listed at $54k at autohaus hamilton. http://csndealers.carsalesnetwork.com.au/details/2000-porsche-911-carrera-no-badge-996/OAG-AD-15128600?dealerId=AGC-SELLER-15162Ooooh yeah that looks nice...bit light on with the details but I would've thought if it all checks out pretty good value with the X51 Looks good in red: https://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Porsche-911-2007/OAG-AD-15130021/?Cr=0Loving this too, slightly different proposition to above, but it COMES WITH SPARE KEY! and "POMPONAZZI" so def worth the extra 164K

Philbee Posted 13September, 2017 Report Share Posted 13September, 2017 (edited) I don't know how that price stacks up, but a 964t to me is the ultimate of the non-race 911's. 993t would be a great second. The 996 and 997 are not even in the same category, great cars (undoubtably better cars), but I think a 964t buyer wouldn't even consider them.why rate the 964t over the 993t? Purely cos less of them? Surely the 993 is a better drive? Not that I would know not having sat in either....for me the 993 was the bees guts or the ducks knees... whichever! Lucky Phil Posted 13September, 2017 Report Share Posted 13September, 2017 Philbee you made me LOL with this one. I think the 3.6 964T is the "bees knees" and the 993T is the "ducks nuts"? Your way does sound funnier though

Not that I would know not having sat in either....for me the 993 was the bees guts or the ducks knees... whichever!Purely cosmetic, I much prefer the more classic look of the 964 to the 993.Also 'It's a limited edition'. 'You're damn right it's limited. No cup holders, no back seat. Just a shiny d!c# with 2 chairs in it'.

Ozvino Posted 13September, 2017 Report Share Posted 13September, 2017 Didn't Autohaus sell the same car earlier this year or late last year?Yes they did. They also sold it around 5 years ago, I tried to buy the car and missed out at the time. It was a good car back then and assume it still is, very nice options for an early 996 Proud Member

JLD Posted 13September, 2017 Report Share Posted 13September, 2017 This has got to be a good buy for an entry level carhttps://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Porsche-911-Carrera-1998/OAG-AD-15044158/?gts=OAG-AD-15044158>ssaleid=OAG-AD-15044158&rankingType=ShowcaseI went in and had a look this afternoon. Outside looks pretty good, interior is a little shabby though. History is there, but a few services done by a 'european' mechanic.
