I know of a 3.8 991.1 that was traded for late 100s.  They are going to be under 200k in no time, the pricing is going to go through the floor.

I'm also watching the 993TT's :) I'm a starter when they get to 2013 figures at 140k and we must be hit with the same affliction as I reckon the violet crumble 991 RS' are the one to have! hahaha

I take it you don't understand the problem with the 991.1?

New news. I think we are all familiar with the IMS saga and associated RMS , bore scoring issues etc. which are well documented and pretty widespread.

acknowledging that absolutely every engine, every manufacturer has some instances of failures, this is the first time I have seen a suggestion that the MA101 engine has systemic issues.

how serious, how widespread?

^At 140k for an honest   oz delivered example   that becomes  investment grade stock as I see it  and that would severely tempt  me to do a  fire sale and trade down a model.   Pity there's no security value on stock code 993TT under a margin loan if we see that  pricing, as it  would certainly make me look at making that a priority one holding in a portfolio.  Do you know if Kevin at Umw has any magic full reversible  tweaks to pump up the volume, boost and maybe see a bit more hp / tq and reduce some lag on a boosted 993. ( i.e nice not to go backwards in those areas)

Yeah, Kevin cut his teeth on the 993 as I understand it :) I believe he still has one.

Doesn't this look like a piece of sh!t, makes mine look even more of a bargain given the asking price.

Check out this 2015 Porsche 911 GT3 991 Auto MY15. https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2015-Porsche-911-GT3-991-Auto-MY15/OAG-AD-18476307

Now $225,000.

Also this RS has dropped $30k in the last 6 weeks.  Good value, but the market is starting to show the odd sign of dropping.

Cheapest RS so far?  $15k price drop to 320k.   I do like purple but not so much black rims and yellow calipers.

Yeah, I noticed it dropped today. Paint the calipers black, fixed. I personally think we'll see a sub 300 car within the month.

No doubt.......@200k I’m in 😂

The purple one in Perth is good value.   This makes their Miami 991.2 car look expensive too.  On the car above,  I would prefer silver wheels.

The market is slipping and I'd say we are just at the crest of it.

I think they are refer to GT3s, not the RS.  They are looking sub $300 soon.

Who knows. I actually don’t wish any ill will on anyone.  In the event I’m in a position to capitalise if it comes to that, I probably will pause for thought.......driving around in a super cheap Cadbury RS on the back end of death and disaster is not particularly appealing.

I’m referring to the 991.1 RS. We’ve already got 991.2 GT3s below 300, there is no reason these are above 300 bar the badge. The 991.2 is a better car as a long term proposition. Given the market that is coming, 200k is not out of the question, which for the record is where I see 991.2 GT3s falling to (or below) over the next 2 years unless there is a miracle vaccine developed sooner.

So what is wholesale on something like that? I'd imagine its something like $130-150k ??

Sounds about right. They'd only offer $200-250k on a 991.1 RS when I got my 991.2 GT3 - and that was 2 years ago now.
