996 cab, $19.5. No idea about condition - at this price it could be a bomb or maybe the owner thinks it's a boxster ;)  VIN decodes to a C4 cab.  http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1999-Porsche-911-996-carrera-convertible-/271916073946

May be a scam??

Carsales ad at $31k http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Porsche-911-Carrera-1999/SSE-AD-3471948/?Cr=3

Definitly a scam ..... tell-tale signs are: zero feedback ..... only contact via email ..... and waaaay too cheap for what it is.

the only old coupe in town and even CTS can't sell it

http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/dealer/details.aspx?R=OAG-AD-2058838&Cr=2

It must be the colour, or the seller... I'll be honest, I haven't been impressed with cars that have been supplied by that place. They tart them up to look pretty and mechanically every car I've seen has been awful.

Dont particulary like how they go back on their word and the minute you mention an inspection by Autohaus, they refuse to sell you the car ?

964 now extinct. Last one on carsales gone

...and where have all the (real) 356's gone too? A couple of years ago when we were looking at 964's and 356's there must have been at least half a dozen of each, now nothing.

That purple 930 is an abomination. If it is a real Aus delivered 930 then the only value would be in converting it back, a hideously expensive exercise, in which case it would have to be a whole lot cheaper.

have a look at the Phillips head screws holding the glovebox lid... That might start telling you something  about the past life of this car.... What's the saying you can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig ?

You can't polish a turd .... but you can roll it in (purple) glitter.

The spot in my garage vacated by my C3.0 has just been filled with an Aussie 356A - a thing of beauty.  Even non car people gush over how pretty it is.

I've taken to calling it Zoolander...

Ice Green turbo at Autohaus Hamilton, Anyone here?

http://autohaushamilton.com.au/news/ice-ice-green-930

Is it sold yet?

The car is from Hobart.. My best mate used to work for the owner.. he told me it was coming up for sale late last year but I didn't think it was my sort of thing. He listed it on Carsales and Autohaus bought it pretty much on the spot over the phone!

Must've been a garage queen. ..never seen/heard of it. Very nice car.

Seems high at the front , but probably just off the hoist.

Just needs the hubcaps lined up with the valve stems to be almost concours B)

I think this is the one that was for sale a couple of weeks ago in carsales. Read back a few pages. As predicted, turns up at a dealer a few weeks on. Looks like a nice car

Probably a bit harsh!

The plastic facing warps over time and becomes detached from the metal frame underneath.  The PO has obviously installed two neat, but admittedly non standard screw fixings to correct the issue.

Certainly won't help it in a concourse event but far from indicating anything sinister I would suggest.
