OBRUT Posted 20June, 2019 Report Posted 20June, 2019 The lovely Golden 308 is gone and another Italian has taken it’s place. Insanity in car form. Peter 996, LeeM, Classic Wheels Australia and 20 others 22 1 Quote
Tips Posted 20June, 2019 Report Posted 20June, 2019 You talked about it and now you have done it, well done. Keen to see and hear it. We need to do a Coffee run one morning soon @kolletor JV911 and OBRUT 2 Quote
bear924 Posted 20June, 2019 Report Posted 20June, 2019 Classic! I won't ask how it drives, however it's worth owning just to look at. JV911 1 Quote
jakroo Posted 20June, 2019 Report Posted 20June, 2019 OMG that is indeed insane Ryan. I take back all my comments about you being a man of poor taste (ref: you not liking yellow) as this has made me realise how hasty I have been! (still it could change again on your next purchase 🙂 ) OBRUT 1 Quote
Rick V Posted 20June, 2019 Report Posted 20June, 2019 Wow!! I spent a good portion of my adolescence in my bedroom staring at my poster of a black countach (had nothing to do with the naked babe draped over the bonnet!). Awesome looking car. Congrats. Keen to hear your thoughts on the drive in due course. ps was salivating over the gold 308 @ CTS only a couple of days ago, but looks like it sold in a heartbeat!! Quote

Sullied his family name which was associated with one of our larger local firms, very sad for his father...... hugh 1 Quote

BTW this whole thread is awesome. I didn't get the music reference...you should have gone with the theme from cannonball run I reckon.... SteveF, bear924, OBRUT and 1 other 4 Quote

Went straight over the top of my head for sure! Simply stunning car. Looking forward to hearing it running and then your views of the car. As I too have been in awe of the Countach from childhood and would love to hear from your first hand experience. OBRUT 1 Quote

No doubt the wing is probably more suited to a small plane, but if it was my car ( I wish🤩), I’d be keeping it for sure, so appropriate for the era. I understand you could argue removing might show better lines, but to me, the wing sits so nicely in the well proportioned business rear end......poetry in motion 👍 OBRUT 1 Quote
Harvs11 Posted 21June, 2019 Report Posted 21June, 2019 Wing makes a perfect roadside picnic table Quote
OZ930 Posted 21June, 2019 Report Posted 21June, 2019 The wing increases stability but costs 5 mph in top speed...but it looks great Quote
Stepo Posted 21June, 2019 Report Posted 21June, 2019 I forgot to mention, you have the best colour as well OBRUT 1 Quote
