I tried to make contact when I was buying mine in April. Couldn’t get a response. I wa trying to work out if they were fibreglass rear guards or metal. I’m thinking not metal.

Big price drop opportunity for someone

Down from $60k to $50K looks great value if it stacks up on an AU delivered targa

Check out this 1979 Porsche 911 SC Manual On carsales.

If you are OK with LHD, what is the opinion on this one? Now $62K

Seems to still have US emissions on it (and lower HP) and Kms cant be verified but general wear and tear suggests accurate?

FWIW you certainly couldn't buy one as nice as that now in the US and be able to land it here for that price.

Hi Merv

I think this (or a very similar car) was for sale a year or 2 ago, I missed it. From the pics it looks excellent, engine & other bright work seem very good which is a good tell tale of age & use.

Sports seats are a brilliant & rare option & look in great shape, raised hub steering wheel is also rare and good for tall drivers. Sensibly priced.

I would but can't at present

In the SC targa's ad above, it depends on the sellers definition of "rebuilt" - could make 20 - 40K difference to an SC price.

AND ALSO .........

Ole's rocket is back, turns up every 6 months like a bad penny..... I still reckon this would be a pretty good car based on all the info over his 2 year sales campaign .... and at around 75 to 80K, maybe 85k tops it would sell. Took him 2 years to drop 30k overall, based on that in a years time it'll be sold.

$95k in this market? Nnnno. Depends if its Aussie delivered or not, as I can't even see $85k in that to someone who wants a nice original car. Maybe $70k in this market, as there is a fair amount of cash to be spent getting back to original

It has a speedo swap from a 930 so it could possibly be a UK?? import ... it does however look to be a factory RHD ..

With mike’s mate selling a decent 3.0L targa for 55k I think even 70k would be far fetched?

I was being kind 😁   Definitely a buyers market for drivers cars at the moment. 100 point concourse air cooled cars are still commanding decent coin, yet that's a whole different demographic to a $50-80k car. I still think when we see these sort of prices on non original cars that the sellers are just out to maximise their profit, or just delusional and/or out of touch with the market.

The bubble may not have burst, yet it does have the occasional slow leak

Under 50k now making Mike's mates car an even sweeter deal!

Not a bad car.. come take a look and a drive. All welcome!

Can probably make it even cheaper if you are happy with fake fuch rims and a NON lsd gearbox that needs a rebuild.
