hugh Posted 5August, 2021 Report Share Posted 5August, 2021 My son has a Carrera GT, in black. Low kms, assuming ex US delivery. Unmodified. It's at1/18 scale. TwoHeadsTas and poetry911 1

I thought that might be where the GT came from. Didn't realise there was also a 959 in that collection. Not sure if the 4.0 was the same owner. I also wouldn't kick out of bed what was sitting next to it. JWM and Raven

Turra Posted 5August, 2021 Report Share Posted 5August, 2021 I actually test drove this car. It was around $125k at the time and I think it was great value then for the right buyer. It’s a very solid track car but don’t expect your wife to come on a picnic in it. Yeatesy and GC9911
Raven Posted 5August, 2021 Report Share Posted 5August, 2021 You could set the coilovers up for a more street , tarmac rally set up , the windows would need to go up and down , I do like the black wheels and black script over the red , those are not difficult to change ,,, slide valve injection would be a cool period addition and a proper rsr 100 liter tank and the 76 lollipop seats .... So it’s doubled in value due to COVID tax!
Turra Posted 5August, 2021 Report Share Posted 5August, 2021 I think it may have had a fair bit done to it since then. It was tidy but now looks slick (if that’s a look you are after). It was part of the inspiration for my own RSR build by Zag, an itch I had to scratch. I have spent a great deal of money on getting exactly what I want though, not a beast, yet a beast. My wife will happily come on a Picnic with the Napa leather and pepita Seats, electronic A/C and some creature comforts yet if I want to hear a little scream I still can 😬😎😀. Schnell Posted 8August, 2021 Report Share Posted 8August, 2021 This seems to have been up for some time. https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/north-adelaide/cars-vans-utes/porsche-911-sc-1981-targa/1277288389 It was a German delivered RHD conversion at some point but has had a fresh rebuild on engine and box. New fuchs, retrimmed interior. Is it worth considering for someone priced out of the Aus delivered market? I was hoping to maybe negotiate the car down a bit. Anyone's thoughts would be great appreciated.
