#johnformayorofgtown !

I'm going to buy a property in Geelong just so I can Vote 1 @polorot for Mayor.

It was an fantastic event.  Got to put some faces to PFA names that I hadn't met before, and catch up with friends.  Pity I didn't get to meet more of you.  The drive over from Adelaide in 40° heat was uneventful, apart from me cooking with no aircon, but well worth the trip.  Just a pity @LeeM & @AndrewW couldn't make the trip across.  All I have to say about that is you missed a great few days.  SUCKED IN...

Thanks John, Huge, Kerry, et al, for all their efforts in making it a great day.

Boo to @Tit for scaring off that nice girl that was chatting us (me) up, just when I was getting my James Bond thing happening.

Yay to @polorot for having the foresight to buy a place 20 years ago that was across the road from the Rub & Tug  :Chuckle2:, storing my car for a few weeks,  giving me whiplash in the 930 (I must have had a smile on my face like a dog with 2 whatsnames), dropping me off at the airport today, etc, etc, etc.  A stellar effort all round mate.

Bring on #hangarbanger2018

What an amazing day. One that will probably be talked about for years to come and have these new blokes scratching their heads as to what #hangarbanger is/was.

Thanks to @polorot for letting us use his space and thanks to everyone else making the day into something special.

@polorot let us know about the poster as I would be interested.

I've run out of "Likes" for the day.

Great shots Mike, Im thinking some "late night/early morning" cool drink shots there, which were definitely worth waiting for... The hanger has an eeriness that suits the cars.

Love the green and orange shot and the Blue Cayman...

Too bad you ran off early mate. Definitely had a great chilled out vibe going on at night after how busy it was earlier in the day. I felt completely overwhelmed with what to photograph earlier in the day, I'm sure a couple of us walking around with cameras felt the same. Could imagine it would be other photographers dream come true though.

That Cayman would look right at home next to Sally.

Love that shot of rude @D-banger you took. Laughed that had I scared the bejesus out of the dog.

I said it on Instagram but how awesome is our Porsche community? Huge thanks to John @polorot for putting together such an amazing event. Everyone has been blown away by how good it was. It certainly was a sensory overload. Great chatting with lots of interesting people about their cars and their passion for porsche.

Not many photos from me but I took plenty of video so hopefully I'll have something worthy for you all soon.

despite possibly having the shortest distance to travel to get to this, I only made it at around 4pm.

I'm guessing there was only 20% if that of the cars left, but it was still an amazing collection and sight to see, hear and smell as a few cars left.

Still being pretty new to Porsche in general and PFA, and waiting for my car,  it's all a new group, thanks to the people I met and being so welcoming.

Congrats John, and I'd put my hand up for a copy of the poster too.

I think there may be many garages around the country that would be proudly displaying this shortly

What an awesome event.

Cudos to @polorot for the idea and event premises. Thanks also to the help for John including @Kerry @hugh and the #hangarbanger crew.  Everything seemed to run smoothly even though there was such a huge turnout.

The success of the hangarbanger party reflects well on the local Porsche community.

It's great the so many pics have been uploaded.  Someone said "sensory overload", and that is reflected in the many aspects of the event captured on the pics uploaded.

Brother John @polorot, I have no words to express my gratitude. You are the best host and a great example of what a car guy really is - sharing and caring. We will never out do what you achieved, but we shall somehow make some new memories soon. Peace!

Sal played? Bugger!  I've only heard him on Soundcloud, yet the passion he has for music is why I most certainly look forward to jamming some blues and a few scotches with him one day. A very talented man in many facets of life, not to mention very kind and generous. The kinda guy you know you would be friends for life with. Not being able to attend will go down as one of my 'bastard' moments, as I had a feeling it would be epic, yet I'm stoked it turned out to be what it became for not only all your efforts in organising and providing the venue, but bringing everyone together to share a common interest with these cars.

Well done to the interstaters who made the trek over too ?

We missed you mate! Curiously, all the people I read here, follow on line, etc are order of magnitudes cooler, nicer, better in real life, so I can't wait to catch up with you and everyone soon.

Peace!

Thanks John@polorot well done, great day only person missing was Magnus Walker, or maybe I didn't see him.  It would be interesting to round up the Geelong Guys to have a local run from time to time, and of course open to everybody, also the poster reprint sounds a good idea.

I dont know how many times I was approached yesterday with people asking if they could buy one of the "Promo" posters. I think I will look into getting a batch printed if there is enough interest.......... I will cost them out this week. Can I have an indication of who would to buy one if they work out under $10?

I'm in thanks John

How about T-shirts, displaying the poster on the front?

Funny you should say that, I've had quite a few requests for Hangar Banger T's. Happy to get it organised if there is enough interest.

Well, I've never experience something quite like that before. I am still buzzing thinking about all the cars, people and overall vibe of this event. Thanks to all those who made the effort to make this happen.

Here are a few pics from my day...
