A few of us met at the "Smackas"  in Lilydale, myself in the BBC, Arne in his 987.1, Monty  and his better half in their 986 Boxster, Mark in his white 981 Cayman S, and Dave in his Californication Mustang..  Headed off at 0730 with just one slight deviation on the way up for a few bends and a bit of spirited driving. We encountered a shower or two on the way up which bought on some under the breath cursing, after most of us had the cars looking pretty damn good.   Anyway got there at the start of the show, at 9.30, we were all parked in the same row together.   Just after we parked ours, we were joined by Leon and his son Noah ,aka Yeatesy, on the Forum (Or YITZY if you come from Germany 🇩🇪🤣)   in his gorgeous yellow 911S tribute. Yeatesy and Noah, down from Bendigo, and great to have you join us, and really good to meet you both.   Don't be strangers now you have broken the ice.  It was reasonably hot, probably around the 30 degrees by about 11.   Ended up with about 50 cars of various creeds.   We were well represented in the mix and received some flattering comments from the MC of the day.   The cars did also draw a reasonable amount of interest.  Anyway after a good country snag topped with onions and red sauce, and some interesting conversations and tyre kicking, we pulled the pin at about 11.30.   Headed off to Mansfield to finish with some food and coffees.   Thanks to the PFA members for turning up and showing the flag. Voting was done by a bar code system, using your phone.   No big surprise as to the Peoples Choice Award.     Just a few shots of some of the stuff from the day....IMG_0576.thumb.JPG.9770db8e8388ad714a99ca8fbca630a4.JPG

Cars & Coffee this morning in Mornington.   Unfortunate timing as it clashed with the Porkers by the Bay event.   But this one being closer and meaning I had another hour in bed, decided to come along to this one.  Relatively knew meet up, but getting more and more participants each event.  Overcast skies and a bit of drizzle, but bearable.   Dominated by Mustangs and Ferrari's this morning.  Here are a few of the cars and of course the porkers that attended..plus a nice gesture that every one who attended recieved a free Bacon and Sanga.  Which would have cost a fortune in the end, so well done to the organisers.IMG_0614.thumb.JPG.362b4b44a254e3d1ef9a1ac9eb6891d9.JPG

Surprisingly enough the BBC won PEOPLES CHOICE again.

Thanks for the great shots. We left 6 am, spirited drive to Daylesford , the wife did well as passenger. A good 1000 cars on show !! Saw some beauties , highlight for me was a mint 4.2 E type , aRenault Alpine and a Capri Mk1, 3 l , looked just like my car I owned 45 years ago. Continued to Daylesford for a lunch , fantastic day , great to meet a number of familiar faces and appreciate these awesome cars. Like so often you meet watch fans  at these places. 89 Subie meets 69 explorer. 😀

Caught up with @Arne Krix at the British and European car show at the old Carribbean gardens this morning.

I had words with an old biddy from the BMW group who wanted me to move my car already parked for 30 minutes, even though they had already encroached into the Porsche area but wanted more room!

Otherwise a good morning with a huge collection of cars. Not enough Porsche's though...

PCV Mid 911 Run from Whittlesea to Heathcote via some great driving roads in some not so great driving conditions.

I meant to come and say hi but food and chat then missed out, was leading the pack on the last stint into Heathcote (black 3.2), hopefully I wasn’t slowing you up 😁

Agree about the weather, first half was shite, last half a lot better!

Another LuftWasser done and dusted. Great people and cars plus so many great roads just out of Wodonga.

Road block on the way up.

Yesterday drove over 750km back to Melbourne with only 40km on the Hume. Back roads to Mitta Mitta, Omeo hwy south to Omeo (how insane is this road!). Over Mt Hotham to Bright, various roads to Benalla. Hume to Euroa, then back on the B roads back into Melbourne.

Noted the Vic Government fund raising program was in full flight yesterday with five camera cars during yesterday's drive... Thankfully all well before being too close.  Omeo hwy on one of the only straight sections, Snow Rd before Oxley, Maroondah hwy around Molesworth and Coldstream and finally Swansea Rd Mt Evelyn!
