Does anyone have any information or backstory on this white 997.2 GTS manual?  https://duttongarage.com/Porsche-Carrera-GTS~237477

I think it’s been up for sale for quite some time, previously was at CTS last year and now Duttons.

I had a bunch of fast Subarus over the years … and remember one of these sitting for sale in country NSW for agessss advertised for mid 50s back in the day … What a buy that would have been.

What's the collective thought on this 997 Cab? It's been listed for a few months with no sale as yet. Would this be due to the asking price and the fact that it's a cab limiting the buyer audience?

I asking because I am looking at swapping out my G83 M4 Cab.

$310k for manual coupe with less miles versus the cab PDK at $240k....

I think the difference in price is still a little too close, possibly try your hand at $200k for the cab. But at 14km on the car after 13 years, it is almost a "collectable" rather than something to be driven much. I guess you may only put on about 3-4k per year so it will still be shiny when you decide to sell it.

Something you miss about the 997 series?  The pure steering feel? The weight hanging behind the rear axle?

I reckon the 997.2 GTS are the pinnacle of the 'narrower' body modern 911's. Reliable mechanicals with rattle proof build quality. The best modern 911 with superb analog driving feel.

i might be in the minority here, I understand what the Carrera GTS is... I just cannot understand the premiums being asked for them? Figure that a nice 997.2 GT3 is mid to high $200s, why is the GTS worth the same or more?

As for the cab, lovely spec and example... but again it is a lot of $$$

I've never driven any of the 997 GTS cars, but I remember at the time the motoring press going gaga over them. The 991 GTS I drove whilst an awesome experience (targa in switzerland will do that) did not leave a lasting impression mechanically.

$220k for a 991.1 GT3.

high k’s. But a new engine in it. These things are becoming good value when you consider a 718 GT4 is more expensive.

As it should be.... getting close to where I could justify one!

That is local to me if anyone wants it looked at....

Good to see at least one seller has become more realistic wrt market pricing. Suggest it won’t last long so good luck to the seller and a cracking car for the price.

Certainly has. Hope it hangs around long enough for all the other Carsales dreamers to see what actually selling your car in 2024 looks like!

^^^^^ Only took 2 years......... :P

Slow and steady wins the race? 😅

Really shows you the state of Carsales doesn’t it … $70k price cut and it’s still not a screaming bargain really, just a “sounds about right” …
