Half the high end cars on carsales marked as sold are merely parked in a warehouse somewhere by the various interested parties, to reappear at a later date. I'll see if I can find it but there was an interview from a couple of years ago where the CEO of Ferrari Australasia admitted that they were buying north of 60% of used Ferraris to maintain high prices.
