Skidmarks Posted 7June, 2020 Report Share Posted 7June, 2020 Also took the 997.1 RS out on the track for a session. Diced with @Pork Chops Loads of fun. Had a mate in my IROC and tried to catch him. No chance ... 9fan and LeeM

What could go wrong? Clocked a low 29 after that. Happy days. Now the boys at Skunkwerks get out the magic putty and fix all that carbon fibre so it’s perdy again and we’re all good. The wheel broke at turn one. Just after turn in having grabbed a fair bit of kerb and loaded the crap out of the right rear. And .... BANG. I made it up over the hill, the outer came away from the car and came to rest by the drivers side door. Crapp..... Good time though after the mayhem ! Most of my drives are from Melbs north to the Ranges ( Kinglake / Healesville) and a few interesting roads back through to strath creek and Broadford way. but will be getting down your way more frequently. What are you driving these days? The red C3? PM sent.
Stepo Posted 19June, 2020 Report Share Posted 19June, 2020 After hearing @Peter M post so many times how good the RE003's are for a G series, I took advantage of Bridgestone's current buy 4 for the price of 3 deal and am so happy with how they perform. I also replaced the front and rear shocks, some bushes and ball joint attention. My front camber was so far out it had scrubbed the old front tyres, steering has gone from super heavy to feather light, a joy to drive . The car did have to go back into the workshop as new tyres were rubbing on the inner guard, spring plates had to come off and be reset to get the ride height sorted, but good as gold now, what a difference! Niko Posted 28June, 2020 Report Share Posted 28June, 2020 Weather looked like it was going to be a great (but cold) morning, so a few of us decided to do a "leisurely cruise" down and around the Morningiton Peninsula this morning,. Good variety of P cars, with a couple of old oil burning air cooled clunkers ( only joking boys, love those cars) to a GT3 & GT4 First stop Arthurs Seat, then the long way around to Flinders for a social distancing coffee. Bumped into the proud owner of the beautiful 356C in the images below and had a nice chat with him. I know it's a poor tradesman who blames his tools, but the sun was a PITA for trying to take photos.... Rick V Posted 28June, 2020 Report Share Posted 28June, 2020 At the risk of upsetting the majority of the audience...... I drove my Porsche out of the drive, so that I could get the other toy out....... my excuse is that there are limited Adelaide days that suit a convertible, so it had to be done today.....
