There is a photo of the speedster sitting next to his 997 in the garage. He says selling both as he has bought a GT 40. Photos of that car as well in ad.. @NevBJust looked and found this which is the car in the 997 photo. Also seems reasonably priced at $62000 https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/1956-porsche-356a-manual/SSE-AD-6618744/?Cr=
michel Posted 29April, 2020 Report Share Posted 29April, 2020 I note it reads registered as a 356 I suspect re-registration will require some further discussion with the state registration authorities and or possible engineering maybe

sleazius Posted 1May, 2020 Report Share Posted 1May, 2020 There is something inherently dodgy about all dealings on gumtree. I couldn't see myself buying a car from there unless it was something very specific. There are a lot of pinball machines on gumtree (or there use to be, haven't been following) and it almost always ends up being painful if you want to buy one. I imagine cars are no different. James P Posted 1May, 2020 Report Share Posted 1May, 2020 I don't have a problem with gumtree or eBay, I've bought some ripper p-cars & others on both, plenty of difficult sellers on all selling platforms including Carsales Tips, flamingporsche and Harsh
SteveF Posted 1May, 2020 Report Share Posted 1May, 2020 I bought my 944 from Gumtree and @dreamr bought his 911 from Ebay. No issues and pretty easy transactions. I suppose you are still buying the owner in most cases anyway so if you don't get a good vibe walk away. Dreamr
Dalai Posted 1May, 2020 Report Share Posted 1May, 2020 I bought my MR2 Turbo off Gumtree. Flew all the way to Brisbane then train to just short of Noosa to look at it! If not for Gumtree I wouldn't have found the car... michel and Troubleshooter

Coastr Posted 1May, 2020 Report Share Posted 1May, 2020 Decent sellers operate on eBay and gumtree. You’ve got to be able to read the warning signs you’re dealing with someone who is going to be difficult to deal with. Like anything it’s a signal/noise operation.
