      914-6 engine for sale

      2.0L 6 cylinder engine, disassembled aside from case, crank and rods.  Case has been machined to suit 90mm pistons/cylinders.  Fully reconditioned heads from a 2.7L to suit 90mm bore.  No accessories, induction, clutch.  See photos for what's there. Perfect to build a period correct 2.5L short stroke (90mm bore, 66mm crank) for a historic race car, 914-6 or 911.  Type 901/38 engine #6405360 makes it a genuine 914-6 2.0L from 1970 (see Stuttcars below) Asking $9,500 Call 0439 006 074, open to offers close to asking price I can deliver in a crate to metro Melbourne.  I can assist with freight further afield at Buyer's expense. I have a 3.0SC engine which i am building for my 914-6 instead - it's a non original car so maintaining authenticity is not important.

      Jumping on the bandwagon and hijacking the name! (..with approval) On Sunday 9th June I’m planning a winter Porsche transaxle (924,944,968,928) gathering in Melbourne. It would be fantastic to get as many cars together as possible, so break out your transaxles and let’s show Melbourne how great Porsches can be with that have engines in the front and gearboxes at the back (Porsche mullets?). So let's meet up and talk all things torque tube over a coffee and a view of the bay whilst looking at everything from 924 Carrera GTs to 968 Turbo RSs It will be somewhere in Elwood area, running 8am until the last leaver. I’ll confirm the venue once I have an idea of the number of cars coming and any road closures planned in the area. Don't have a torque tube car, come and have a look at what you're missing but I'd like to group the cars so please park to the side.  Thanks to those that have already registered via Facebook event (below) or PCV, spread the work, lets fill the carpark https://www.facebook.com/events/331105873339221/   This is fun, non commercial event, please act and drive responsibly so this type of gathering can continue

      I bought a 9YA Cayenne S. I had to buy a car through work so thought I'd try the bigger brother. I drove a standard Cayenne which pace wise was on par with the Macan, the S is really a different car and worth the extra spend. The Macan is a better drivers car, and the PDK is so much better than the tiptronic. But the technology and space in the Cayenne is better. So definite pluses and minuses

      It was a general rule for anyone really 👍  Yep, many of the guys I raced against in Karts were always chasing their weight limits to gain an advantage....so I just braked later 😁

      4RS feels stronger down low...but not by much. But I am possibly biased because I do not like the engine in the BGT4.0 at all. As a result, it is my least favourite car and would sell it in a heart beat if my wife hadn't banned me from doing so. She loves it.

      As the instructor at Master GT4 RS said to me..."If I can go 2 secs faster than you around this track in a stock car, you don't need to do any weight saving tricks, sticky tyres, etc....you just need more instruction/seat time".
